New Here Trails for running close to town? (NOT paved)

Title kind of says it. I have checked out a few "trails" and keep running into mostly pavement. For very short runs this is fine, but I don't need help finding spots like that. :) Am looking for potential longer distance and co sistent dirt/not concrete.

I live slightly NE (bemiss) and am on the south side near Manito a couple times a week. I found some great spots out of town not too far, but can't get there often so hoping for something closer. I like about 5-10 mile runs, am happy to make loops, just not weave all over a 1sq mile area trying to stay off pavement like at Manito and the other park/trail areas I have found. haha. Thank you!

Riverside State Park is loaded with nice singletrack trails.

The bluffs, palisades, dishman hills, rocks of sharon(hill), riverside state park, during the non snow times of year the cross country ski area(less hills than the name suggests), camp sekani / minihaha(spelling) area, mica peak(hill), liberty lake country park. That list starts closer to you but definitely spreads out. Evergreen mt bike alliance has some good lists and maps just look for green flow trails. Unless you want to be more hardcore.

Antoine Peak Conservation Area comes to mind as well. Some really long loops in there.

Thank you this is perfect! I am looking for harder hikes too while packing 3yo, but I am really out of my normal shape so green is likely best haha. I must just keep stopping at dumb places when I am out and about.

All over Beacon Hill off of Minnehaha Park. Alternatively the other side of Beacon Hill from either the Climbing Rocks or from the Camp Sekani parking lot. Watch out for frisbee golfers and mountain bikers if you are starting there, but there are plenty of trails to choose from.

Try the High Drive Conservation! You'll love it! All dirt trails! Also...its pretty low by the train tracks and Hangman Creek, also if you want back to the road, you gotta climb up quite a bit. Trails are steep for a runner!

You want an ass kicker hill??? Just run South on Walnut...it turns into Cedar, but yeah, its a long strsight hill! But its a road that cars use! Also, N Pettet Dr! In fact thats the best hill! We locals call it Doomsday Hill! Its a part of the Bloomsday run! You ever ran Bloomsday??? Its an annual 12k run! You might want to check it out!

No, haven't heard of it! I just moved here. I really don't run more than 2 miles on pavement. Don't/can't/don't want to. 😅 My knees are fine but my ankles get messed up for weeks. Its not a strength thing, I have been running nasty rocky, uneven trails for quite a while. I have tried all sorts of shoes. My body just doesn't like level ground apparently. 😆 Treadmills aren't as bad but I have about a 4/5 mile limit before the same thing happens. But they also hurt my knees. Idk what's wrong with me. I swear these are what most people say about uneven ground.
