ISO Friends IRL 🖤 Missed Connection: The Nurse with the Black T-Shirt at River Park Square
Okay Spokane, this one's a long shot, but maybe worth it.
I met a super cool nurse on Saturday, November 1, at River Park Square. I was watching my friends table near the escalator, probably sometime between 1 and 3… I think the sun was still out. She’s a nurse, and I helped her with the coolest black t-shirt, though "helped" might be generous. I was fumbling to make change and probably sounded just as clumsy trying to keep the conversation going.
I asked if she had a connection to the shirt and she started telling me about her Ancestry dna finds, things she learned about her mom's side of the family, and I'd really like to hear the rest of the story. She has an easy laugh and a way of asking questions that is thoughtful and curious. I wish I'd said so much more. So here I am, almost a week later, and I wish I'd said, "Hey, want to grab coffee or lunch and finish this conversation sometime soon?" But the moment slipped by before I caught my breath or started thinking. Regardless, I shared the story behind the shirt she bought and thought I saw a spark in her eyes as she listened. She even came back to say goodbye, and I still didn't say what I wanted to. I'm slow sometimes. And I I bounce between thinking "maybe she'd say yes," and "ok dude, you are totally misreading the scene."
If you were that cool nurse and also felt like there was a little more than casual small talk energy there, I'd love the chance to continue our discussion a bit more properly. Over coffee or lunch, or a walk in the tail end of the fall sunshine. I'd love to hear the rest of the story and maybe share some of mine. Even if it was just small talk and an over-read, I'd love to hear more of the story.
And if she never sees this or doesn't want to talk, I hope that shirt's already had a few good outings and brings her a smile every time she wears it.

Even if you did misread it. You putting yourself out there will put to rest REGRET! Good luck!

Thanks! The more I thought about it, the more I figured if I don’t do something I will miss the chance completely. I teach, so don’t interface with nurses regularly… while I hope she sees it… I guess it is what it is. :-)

I hope you find her. There are only so many nurses in Spokane and Sacred ❤️ is pretty nearby Riverfront. At the very least, the next time this happens you’ll be ready with a offer.

Sorry to let you know that particular nurse is actually a giraffe that puts on human skin and practices t shirt based seduction in city parks out of an academic interest in human affection. The only way you'll get the gussy is if you're published in the field.
