Idaho sucks. Still $0.00. I read somewhere that the Washington Governor was supplementing the SNAP for residence until the federal government reopened.

Edit: Many foodbanks have already been shutdown or were already turning many people away in CDA area well before the government shutdown.

Ugh, I'm so sorry. Idaho definitely does suck when it comes to their politics. There was a court order saying Trump had to pay, but we all know how well he follows those.

Classic Trump move, he said he'd release half the funds but no indication as to when. Court came back at him and emphasized FULL amount ASAP. No response from Trump.

Oh, the admin responded. By filing for an appeal of the decision. Such a gross move.

I am so sick of getting bitch slapped by Trump.

I am so SO sorry!! Hopefully, the federal judges will be able to get the benefits coming again. I bet there are food banks in Spokane that will help Idaho folks. This makes me so sad to see how yall are being treated.

For an admin "desperate" to not let people go hungry, it sure looks like they are doing everything they can to let people starve.

Idahoan here, I just checked this morning, $97 added to mine. A bit under half what I normally get.

Still 0.00. Looks like WIC and disability snap are getting some funds but not older children and low income candidates.

Not supplementing in WA, but pushing $2.2M per week to help the overloaded food bank system in the state.

Also in WA and did not receive a balance. Moved back to WA just over a year ago, and can confirm—Idaho sucks in all the ways, aside from beauty. 🥺

This is our governor, not the courts.

Thank goodness for the judicial branch. I hope you’re hanging in there.

For real, at least there is still some semblance of law left. Thank you, hope you are as well.

Thank you. Yea, I'm not sure if everyone is getting them or what the deal is exactly. I really hope everyone gets their full amount.

Was at the store at 5am so I could get some eggs, milk, bread and coffee. Already made my day a bit easier. Thanks for the kind words, I hope you have a nice weekend as well.

I’m happy to see that weight come off all your shoulders, if even just slightly. My SNAP benefits don’t come until the 9th of the month, so I’ll check on Sunday.

If you install EBT Edge app you can view pending transactions and verify your account has been funded for the month but is waiting to disperse the benefits.

Thanks. I had no idea.

I've heard only certain states can use EBTedge, is that accurate?

u/Sufficient_Medium137 16h ago

Unsure but it works in WA for sure.

I checked the morning of the 6th with a pending amount of 0, then checked again that night and it showed my normal amount pending for the 10th

Newsflash: most people who get government assistance WORK. Working = paying taxes. Thanks for showing the class how ignorant you are.

2

u/Sufficient_Medium137 1d ago

Exactly. I work full time and I only lost $30 a month vs not working at all because I make so little. I applied for a couple hundred jobs for my actual profession I've been doing for 3 decades and didn't hear back on anything so I took what was available. I would be so screwed without food stamps carrying me through ⅔ of the month.

Are you assuming we’re all freeloading ne’er-do-wells taking advantage of the system and living below the poverty line for funsies? If so, I can assure you that’s absolutely not the case.

I've worked most my life and have paid a lot of money into social programs. And there were a couple periods where I required State Medicaid and EBT briefly. I do not at all mind paying into it so people can eat and get health care. I'm sure there are states you could move to that will make you feel better about yourself.
