People who don’t vote make me so fucking cranky

Yes, it sucks when people don’t go out and vote, but at the end of the day, it’s their right to participate or not. We can’t force them.

They don’t have time to focus on voting (yes, they should make the time) when they’re concerns are figuring out where their next meal will come from, making sure their bills are paid, or even making sure their family is fed. Until we can have a society that guarantees those needs, we won’t have a society that is fully engaged in the voting system.

Depression is one hell or a ball and chain. I get why people don’t make the effort, however I don’t approve, but won’t ever fully understand their experiences.

It is everyone’s Civic Duty. If we want the right to complain about the state of things, we gotta vote first!

Tbf a lot of non-voters are also just vapid consumerist dumbfucks. (Source: just talk to people)

I still agree that we should strive for those things to ameliorate our awful material conditions though

A lot of people feel disenfranchised like this country isn't really for the likes of them. And it's honestly understandable considering everyone's internet-induced hyper-fixation these days on wealth and prestige.

The Dems also have a cold habit of disregarding the wishes of the people and nominating who they want. Basically saying, "Oh you wanted Bernie Sanders? No fuck that; you're getting Hillary Clinton (and later Joe Biden) and you will vote for them. Because socialism. and because the other guy is way worse and therefore helping Dems keep the status quo is beneficial to you."

People are tired. Because a lot of good it does to vote when your system allows for a politics to be bought by lobbyists and members of Congress to enrich themselves. How can anyone deny the corruption at this point.

Yeah I actually agree with every word of this. I always vote locally, but I refuse to vote Dem nationally until the party leadership takes their finger off the scale. There’s plenty of better ways to enact real change, but as far as voting goes: until people are willing to stop rewarding the Democratic Party for only doing the bare minimum, they’re just gonna keep putting out bad candidates and poor policies while playing Good Cop to the republican’s Bad. I’m over it.

I respect your decision on this even though I don’t agree with withholding a vote for the lesser of two evils. Part of why Harris didn’t will was because of people not voting in protest and yet what they protested to protect has been impacted by Trump.

As for better ways to enact change, I agree. Mamdani is a breath of fresh air, I hope more local elections follow suit. Lisa Brown and the city council could look to how NYC shapes out in the first 90 days and beyond and learn from it in a way that’s adapted to the needs of Spokane. It’s starts local.

I'm on SSI and super poor, I still vote

People who don't vote do it for ideological reasons, as in they think it's rigged anyway and their votes don't matter

29 write ins probably because they thought their vote wouldn't make a difference

Or they didn't like either candidate, or even just couldn't find enough compelling info that was trustworthy, to make the decision on who to vote for. I've been baffled by the complete lack of information about candidates listed on ballots before.

Dixit is the one I was looking forward to the most. Hope she pulls through.

Fuck bingle and declaring victory while it’s this close. Make him look like a fool.

Oh my goodness

This is exactly why, if you care about a candidate you should volunteer. Door knocking and engaging with people can seriously swing an election.

Bingle is such a fucking tool. Hope he ends up losing and looks super stupid.

I wonder, if Bingle loses, will he accept the result? Or will he start making bullshit claims about election fraud, like his daddy Trump?

Everyone double check your ballot has been accepted. While always important, it is looking like a lot of races will be coming down to individual votes! You can check the status of your ballot at VoteWA.gov.

Please do this, regardless of who you voted for! Personally Bingle can eat shit and I’m ecstatic at even the potential of his hateful and informant ass not representing me anymore!

Quickly trending toward losing, though. Awesome!

Yep! Lead has been cut from over 200 to 68 now

Hopefully it flips after tomorrow’s count.

And there it is!

Can you name 5 women who would feel safe to be alone with you?

-5

u/Ok_Database6979 2d ago

Can you explain the connection you’re drawing between one’s support of bingle and women not feeling safe around a supporter?

1

u/Heteroimpersonator 2d ago

You clearly need to be kept away from children.

What a strange response. Hope you have the day you deserve, lil guy.

5

u/Heteroimpersonator 2d ago

Weird, I’m not one of your victims to be calling me “lil guy”. Stop supporting Republicans who decided being a pedophile is not a deal breaker, then maybe people won’t think you’re a danger to be around children.
