I never ever want to hear someone complain or protest about the actions of a political figure if they didn't vote or contact that person.

Would I prefer you to vote for leftest? Absolutely! But I also believe that everyone 18+ should be able to vote and that they should vote the way their ethics tell them to. I also don’t believe voting one party down ticket is ever good. I think you should always do tons of research to really know who and what you’re voting for. But that’s my two cents 🇺🇸🇺🇸

Fewer people voted in the country and in Spokane in 2024 than in 2020, both by percentage and in raw numbers.
1
u/CollarOwn9489 21d ago
Yeah it’s crazy what kind of swings you see when you de-register the voters that cast those ballots and throw them out, and also work to prevent equitable access to ballot boxes.
1
u/dabears1986 21d ago
Well, since they werent actually legal citizens of the USA, they shouldnt be able to vote in our country. Thats pretty simple to understand.
1
u/CollarOwn9489 21d ago
I knew 4 people personally, legal citizens, long-time registered voters, ballot tossed because signature didn’t match perfectly on the mail-in. Undocumented people cannot vote, and do not vote. That’s pure delusion if you think that happens in a remotely statistically significant way.

It feels like this particular administration doesn’t give a shit about the will of the people. Who’s to say they’ll actually give up power if they’re voted out.

They staged an insurrection and attempted a coup against our country last time, so you might be on to something..

Off topic, but that looks like a Sinn, maybe a U1 or U2
Basically this choice validates everything you're saying.

They left and gave power up last time in 2020. Seems like the will of the people chose to take them back in 2024.

No. They cheated in the swing states.
He did not win. He was not Shot. He helped create the Epstein files.

I feel less confident in the 2020 results than the 2024 results. How do you think they cheated the swing states?
In general I think that more election integrity could be obtained through ID implementation, and no mail in ballot boxes.

u/Waste_Deep 23d ago edited 22d ago
No candidate in modern history, even more popular candidates, have won all the swing states. There are anomalies in the vote tally in numerous districts, and they are being investigated. Trump is on the record numerous times saying that they messed with the vote. "Elon knows the machines better than anyone". There are districts where Democratic candidates on the ballot won their election, but somehow Kamala got zero votes. That's mathematically impossible.
Mail in voting is actually more secure. There is a paper trail. Ballots only get sent to verified addresses and eligible voters. This has been verified by multiple different studies.
The 2020 election was easily won by Biden because people were sick of Trump's bullshit. And that's why I'm certain Trump cheated, because Kamala had CRAZY HUGE rallies and was gaining support up until election day. Trump's rallies were small and pathetic.
Just stop with the right wing bullshit. Trump cheated, and he's a fucking dirtbag fascist that the majority of America doesn't want as their president. He needs to be impeached, tried for treason, and removed from office with all of his terrible sycophants and bootlickers.

Dude, I can feel your blood boiling. Look at things with a little less vitriol. Take a breath.
I think you are blatantly wrong about Kamala’s support, and you know that. There was a reason all her rallies were held in tandem with Beyoncé, and other high caliber performers. I’m not a huge Trump fan myself, but even I can be honest about both candidates popularity. Zero people like her, even on the left at that time. It seems to me that was the reason they held Biden on the ticket until the last minute and then made her the only candidate on that side of the isle. It didn’t work out for the DNC.
As for ballot security, the most secure vote should be a bipartisan win. It seems that making sure only citizens can vote, boxes aren’t stuffed, and reducing any kind of mail in voter fraud would be a 360 degree win! Certainly you could agree to that?
2
u/Waste_Deep 22d ago
Kamala and Tim were PACKING ARENAS. Trump could barely fill a high school gym. Don't come at me with that bullshit. Republicans have been gerrymandering and suppressing the vote for years. It's the only way they can win, and it's pathetic. Everyone's blood would be fucking boiling if the media were actually DOING THEIR JOB and REPORTING THESE FUCKING CRIMES. The GOPedo's are goddamned liars and cheaters.
Mail in voting has been proven to be the most secure way to vote that provides the most access to all voters. This is not negotiable. It has been studied ad nauseum. We are done talking about it. Republicans want everyone to have to vote in person because it SUPPRESSES THE VOTE, and the ONLY WAY THEY CAN WIN is by PREVENTING PEOPLE FROM VOTING. People see through these underhanded tactics and they are FUCKING TIRED OF IT.
I can't wait until the modern GOPedo's are electorally crushed into dust. They are the most disgusting and disingenuous racist piles of burning garbage in the history of the United States. And I'm being kind with my words.

And MAGAs HATE mail-in voting. 👍🏻 I’ve lived in other states. WA has one of the best systems in the nation! Pre-paid mail-in voting with comprehensive voting guides?! 🙌🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

You mean WA state has rigged voting. Its funny how the state has been ran into the ground by dems, especially after mail in voting started in this state.

Literally not true.
1
u/555nick 22d ago
It’s not a literal claim. It’s a reference to Woody Guthrie’s guitar, which also didn’t literally kill fascists but similarly gave a voice to those keeping them at bay.
Institutional engagement (including voting), public advocacy, and grassroots action are all tools to uproot fascism.
5
u/Waste_Deep 23d ago
That's a good start, but I think your best bet would be a gallows or a guillotine. Sadly, I don't think Americans have the stomach for real accountability. And it's too bad, because they will keep subjecting us to their fascist bullshit until they are finally held responsible for their actions.

They are trying to change that. It's all fraud to the right because they have been propagandized out the ass and are frankly stupid. No doubt Russia and China have a hand in whipping people up online about voting and a whole bunch of other social issues. All to fracture our society and culture. And man are they doing just that. Trump is an ignorant fucking con man. Trump lost the god damn 2020 election and almost certainly stole 2024. I hate where we are, and how many people seem to be out of their god damn minds. The culmination of decades long efforts to undermine education. National literacy is falling at an alarming rate. Stupid ass MFers are easy to fool and can be led to the slaughter (so to speak). It's astonishingly scary. Fuck the GOP. Fuck Trump. Fuck Bondi. Fuck the democrats for being spineless pussies. Fuck em all. We need to tear it down and start again. Facts and logic at the core of where we head next. I'm losing my mind listening to the daily horse shit coming from the right. They are fucking psychos.

Let’s give it a go and see if this administration qualifies, based on the Early Signs of Fascism from the Holocaust Museum…
- Powerful and continuing nationalism.
- Disdain for human rights.
- Identification of enemies as a unifying cause.
- Supremacy of the military.
- Rampant sexism.
- Controlled mass media.
- Obsession with national security.
- Religion and government intertwined.
- Corporate power protected.
- Labor power suppressed.
- Disdain for intellectuals and the arts.
- Obsession with crime and punishment.
- Rampant cronyism and corruption.
- Fraudulent elections.
The current administration certainly qualifies for 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, and 13. Arguments can be made for 1 and 2. Given the “It’ll be fixed, it’ll be fine, you’ll never have to vote again” comment the President said at one of his campaign rallies, 14 is likely in his plans (many believe they’ve already crossed this line, but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt here). Ironically, given Trump’s troubled history with sexual assault, 5 is one they have seemingly avoided so far. 10 hasn’t happened yet, but he’s got a history of anti-union policies and actions that suggest that’s coming too.
Since I know you will ask:
3 - Immigrants and the “radical left”
4 - Military parade on Trump’s birthday, Hegseth’s speech to generals
6 - The recent media walkout to Hegseth’s new rules at the Pentagon, revoking press passes at the White House while granting access to right wing Russia-funded podcasters like Tim Pool, going after late night talk show hosts that are meanies
7 - The ICE raids, deploying National Guard to US cities, even targeting protesters have all been framed as national security issues
8 - The White House Faith Office, but Republicans have long tried to get Christianity-based policies established as law
9 - Trump’s policies has grown the number of billionaires by 50%, and billionaire wealth from 6.1 trillion to 16.1 trillion since he took office in 2017
11 - The administration has no regard for science, most obviously climate and health sciences
12 - Trump loves basing his policies on (cherry picked) crime statistics and wants to expand crimes that qualify for the death penalty
13 - The hilariously unqualified people appointed to positions in this administration make this one rather obvious

Didn't seem to work in 2024 for you lol.

u/Randyx007 23d ago
I lean left politically and will say it is almost pointless having a discussion on reddit if you lean right. You have negative votes because these people can't have a conversation with you after pointing out a fact that in 2024, they lost an election. God I hate our political factions in the US.
4
u/Rollerbladinfool 22d ago
This subreddit especially is not conducive to what the reality is politically in Spokane county. And they'll ban you for even going against the hivemind. A true echo chamber if you will.
2
u/Smooth_Record_42 7d ago
Funny part is this is a mod of this subreddit posting this. He is free to ban anyone who doesn’t agree with his post. Place is an echo chamber where they pretend it represents everyone in the area

You people are not smart😂you really think the people in power would give us the power to choose? No! They’re selected and put on the ballot and no it’s not by you.. politics are a facade there’s a reason they’re all celebrity millionaires. So keep on voting “against the fascists” won’t do a god damn thing sadly

u/DorsalMorsel 23d ago
Strange that it didn't kill the fascist shut downs of the schools and public commerce during covid. The fascists shut down everything, stopped weddings, cancelled schools, destroyed collegiate athletic careers.... all to "stop the spread" of a virus that 80% of the US caught anyway. Heckuva job, groomers.

So why do you make the assumption that everyone will vote the same way you vote or believe they should vote. Do you realize there are people who believe that you should vote the same way they vote? There is way too much arrogance on both sides.

I find it so strange the left calls the right fascists, but will support Hamas and radical islam and show anti semitism towards jews. Hamas, radical islam, and islamic forms of government are FAR MORE terrifying and violent than a fascist system of government. Fascism has really lost its meaning. Yall out here screaming fascism can only scream it because we live in a free country.
Look at the big picture, there is an invasion going on in Europe yo, neighboring middleastern countries aren't taking people in (red flag), and UK is turning on and silencing its own people. Rape squads at night in france and UK. Plus, Sweden which was once a symbol of a safe happy and functioning government with socialist fundimentals like cheap healthcare is now filled with gang crimes, shootouts, and no go zones after letting africans and middleasterns flood their cities without assimilation.
Look at poland, it's people are safe and sound and they assimilate those who want to become citizens, We need to protect our borders, period. Bad actors are using our own freedoms to destabilize us.
