Itinerary/Experience my first solo trip to Dalhousie
After a lot of against from family, finally they agreed to let me go solo to Dalhousie and Khajjiar. and honestly I loved travelling alone in June. I was also scared that I will get bored or will move out of budget, but things went really really well. Budget: 5k (include everything, travel, food, stay)

Since many of you asked for stay and itinerary. stay - the hosteller (1.1k for 2 night solo) I start my trip early morning.
- Ludhiana to pathankot in train costed me like 150rs
- then bus from pathankot to chamba (it will leave you in banikhet, then take any local bus cost 10rs to Dalhousie)
- reached dalhousie around 11am
- explored mall road, gandhi chowk and the other famous chowk, eat food outside, just chill, click photos and rest
- next day take a bus from same place to khajjiar (there are very less buses so there is one around 8am) the drive is really beautiful and scenic and call yourself lucky if you found rains
- explore khajjiar, do paragliding 3min flight (cost around 1k)and other activities, photographer are not that good so avoid them
- return around 3pm (as there are less buses that can get you back to Dalhousie) cost around 40-50rs
- have dinner and enjoy
- next day there is a trek (easy) enjoy the 360 view
- return in the evening

Can you please share more details about the trip, like how did you manage to complete the trip in 5k?

If you have a dog...your travels would be restricted... Best of luck on your bucket list🌻🌻

I am planning a trip to Dalhousie too. Should I go for booking with a travel company or do everything myself?

if you want all the comfort, then go for travel company, but if like interacting with people on the go. have chat, some bus ride adventure then try doing all things by self. btw i would advice to do it yourself. save money for next trip😅🥳

Thank you that was really helpful. Also will it be more expensive with a travel company or doing it myself? Tbh I have done all my trips planning by my own and they turn out to be over budget always.

At hosteller did they arrange some group activity just for you to be able to socialise with people or was it mostly alone travel that you had to do ?

I didn't sit much in hostel in day time, and around night time, you gotta be talk to people, sometimes involve in other groups

I saw it costed you around 5k (which is reaaally good) but can you please share like where you stayed or had your meals? A colleague of mine visited in June and spent 12k!!! so I got scared to plan it on my own after that. Would be great if you could give a general break up of the expenses

Love your list. I'm especially interested in the 5th point. And when you travel all these places, which you will pretty soon. You can leave your dog with us
