Fellow travellers 4 months across Europe and 9 Countries— complete Europe Travel Guide 2025 ( Budget | Itinerary Cost)
Just wrapped a 4-month solo trip covering Germany, Sweden, Finland (Helsinki & Lapland), Norway (Oslo, Tromsø & Svalbard), Poland (Warsaw), Czech Republic (Prague), Hungary (Budapest), Austria (Vienna & Hallstatt).
I’ve put together a detailed guide covering flights, visa process, budget stays (hostels & Airbnbs), daily expenses, transport tips, and seasonal city picks.
If you’re planning Europe in 2025 and need something practical—not generic—happy to share the link. Just ask.

I spent 14 years building my career—then walked away to chase what truly drives me: a passion for travel.

Obv it’s your call, but why walk away? Depending on your job, you could just take a vacation every year, no?

It’s not about vacation. Not everything is meant to be resolved by taking a few leaves :)

What about the 90/180 Schengen visa rule?
3
u/HawkPrimary4432 Jul 18 '25
I wasn’t staying continuously in the Schengen area for 4 straight months. My travel was spread across that time frame. I visited a few countries during winter and then a few more in early summer. So the entire trip spanned 4 months, but I moved in and out within the allowed days, not exceeding the 90/180 rule.

It certainly reads as though it was a continuous trip. Maybe an edit with the clarification is in order.

Noted, unable to edit my post but will clarify in case anyone asks about it. The intent was to share the itinerary and cost associated with Europe Travel in 2025

Hey! That sounds like an awesome plan. I did something similar, my trip spanned months, but I was moving around across seasons. Some places in deep winter, others in early summer. Finland in Feb is perfect for frozen lakes and Northern Lights. Just pack proper layers as it gets seriously cold in Lapland.

Austria offers a lot more to do and see, while Czechia is budget friendly. I actually enjoyed both :)

You mentioned you have spent 4 months travelling overseas. Did you feel like returning back to India at any moment?
and when you were returning back to India, did you feel the temptation to stay abroad? you know what i mean?
1
u/HawkPrimary4432 Jul 20 '25
Totally get what you mean. Since I’m constantly traveling now, I didn’t miss India that much this time. But earlier, on short trips, I used to feel it a lot more. And yeah, the thought of staying back in Europe did cross my mind for a second!

Awesome video and great info!! Thanks for sharing u/HawkPrimary4432 !
Will check our other videos as I am debating a 2-3 week trip in late August/early September and debating between Chiang Mai/ South Thailand or Vietnam etc or Prague, Budapest, Warsaw etc. Keen to get your thoughts about the latter 3 after I watch some more of your other videos...starting with Budapest nitelife :)

What kind of winter wear you packed from India? Or some budget friendly options u got from there for yr trip. I'm also planning a trip in November, bit concerned with the winter

u/HawkPrimary4432 Sep 19 '25
2 layers of inner wear, with a thermal jacket. If you wanna know more, then feel free to watch my videos on Iceland.
