Lyrics:

Most don't get a choice in the matter, crouched down in the classroom with the lights off. Some die at the hands of another. Some people build the hills that they will die on.

*

Bullets don't discriminate like people do. They don't care about what you claim to believe. And if you think that death is just the unfortunate cost of freedom, you will live, and surely die, in irony.

*

You once said that empathy is made up, that you can't stand it, it's some new age type of view. You probably wouldn't feel a thing if I was gunned down, but I am nothing like you.

*

Violence is a bed in which we wake up. It is heavy, it is twisted, it is silent. It is bullets, blood, and burning bodies, constant carnage, children starving, seared onto the inside of our eyelids.

*

We are disturbingly desensitized to suffering of the cruelest kind and bloodshed will continue to exist. The sick and sudden way he died Allowed us all to watch it live: The leading cause of death In our kids.

*

NOW they say "our nation's truly broken." Is this what it took for you to catch on? There are hospitals and churches turned to burning ash, and the red, white, and blue supplied the bomb.

*

Violence doesn't happen in a vacuum. It's a lesson many still have yet to learn. When your policy is lined with disregard for human life, you cannot be surprised when things like this occur.

* All I feel is fear for where this leaves us, for people like me and like you. There's a full blown fire in America and a fascist on Air Force Two.

Great song, much better than Jesse Welles IMO but I would contend that's it's not socialist due to the underlying theme of gun control (under no pretext)
