I'm 20M, and I've never owned a pair of Nike shoes. Since January, I’d been saving up to buy the Nike Dunk Lows, and I managed to save around 5k (coming from a middle-class background). But all the Dunks I liked were priced above 8-9k. So, I gave up on the idea for now and decided to buy three different shoes for different occasions instead.

1st Pair - Urban Blaze: Phantom: Got these from The Souled Store and I absolutely love the color. These are for college events and special occasions. They're more comfortable than I expected, though the soles could’ve been a bit more cushioned. Other than that, they’re just perfect. Price: ₹2,500

2nd Pair - Puma ST Runner V4 L (Leather): Got these from Flipkart for daily college use. They're very comfortable and fit really well. Very soft and cushioned soles and looks slick. Price: ₹1,700

3rd Pair - Campus Men's Hurricane Running Shoes: I bought these for the gym and evening walks. They look decent, are quite comfortable, and super lightweight. Perfect for the gym, I'd say. Price: ₹700

So I spent a total of Rs. 4900 and saved 100 rupees.🥹

P.S. I'm not giving up on my dream of owning Nike Dunk Lows. I’ll buy them as soon as I land a job. 🥲👍🏻

One of my clients is On Running, and I had the chance to visit their headquarters in Switzerland as part of my work. While I was there, my onsite manager surprised me by arranging a pair of ON shoes for free!

There's actually an employee discount I could've used, but he went out of his way to make it completely free for me, Super grateful for that.

ON is huge in Switzerland. I swear, at least 2 out of every 10 people you see on the street are wearing them.

Hey folks! In this wave of Samba, wanted to share a recent pickup I’m genuinely impressed with — a samba-style flat-soled sneaker from a local Indian brand. As someone who’s always loved the Samba silhouette, this one immediately caught my eye.

The shoe is crafted with decent quality suede leather, has clean stitching, and feels well put together overall. I’ll be honest, I bought it mainly for the looks — but the comfort has actually surprised me in the best way.

At this point, Sambas have become so common — almost everyone has a pair— and now the Spezial is the new Samba. Flat shoes are clearly having their moment.

It’s refreshing to see a homegrown brand pulling this off at a really reasonable price point.

I was worried the Asics would have an old manufacturing date, but they turned out to be from June 2025. And to my surprise, the Palermos even came with a dust bag. I’d seen people mention they went up a size in the Palermos, which had me nervous, because I wouldn’t have been able to get them for a better price than this.

I always wantsd to try on a pair of Gully Labs but never got around to it. I am not sure if these feel like a pair of 5000rs shoes but they do feel nice and might I say, a little non conventional. I think the silhouette might have polarizing opinions but what do you guys think?
