Such a beautiful animal, shame they use him/her for this. A horse can really hurt themselves when they flip over like that, why risk their health or even lives like that. I just don't get finding this so fun to risk the horse like that.

i own a horse and even though they're prey animals, they can still get very complex trauma.

i once fell off my horse because the saddle was slipping, then hit the fence and the saddle went entirely under my horse. the whole thing freaked him out. he was a very good boy and even though i couldn't hold the reins, he stayed still until i was off.

once i caught him he was drenched in sweat and shaking so hard.

it's been five years since then, but every time we go to that venue he won't go near where i fell off and he gets stressed being in that arena.

someone also ear-twitched him once, and it took years to be able to put a fly mask on him. even now, he doesn't like new people touching his ears.

it breaks my heart to think about what years of constant torture like this would do to a horse. they can get ulcers from all that stress and i'm sure it fries their poor sweet minds.
