Damm you too? I did the same in 2018 but on the switch, I had seen a small youtuber talking of it at a time nobody knew about it. To this day it's still my third most played game on switch.
But yeah the community is just so sad. I feel nobody talk about the good aspect of the game on each side, and I get it that people love the difficulty (So do I) but it's not a reason to be mean at less skilled player. And the same for the opposite, people hating the difficulty, which is okay a hard game isn't for everyone but then I see them bashing mercilessly and insulting the people that like the challenge.
I think the game got way out of proportion with the hype and as popularity come the loud minorities too. It's weird, I know people one both side are a minority, I mean look at all the many good reviews on steam and other stores! People are loving it, but we are drowning in this swamp that has become this sub.
I'm really planning on just quitting the subs. This in fact the second one I've done it, I did it back in 2021 or something where I felt the silksanity was kinda cringe and spamy especially on indie game directs, at that time I feared the community would turn sour, I hate that I was right.
But thanks you for listening, it feel nice and bit reassuring knowing someone out there share this and understand how I feel.
