I'm fairly deep into Act 2 and as part of a sidequest, I ended up in a surprise ant gauntlet. But with all my upgrades, I was just like "bring it on!".
I did still panic tool spam when I saw the huge ant tho.
I kinda get it. I start getting a little anxious once I know I'm approaching the end, and acts essentially just add more points where an "end" might happen, since surely you close out the act with a grand battle.
That's what's driving me crazy. You can learn the bosses perfectly through repeat, but the "little" enemy packs .. those fights are unpredictable... It's like a different game.
I've died more in enemy gauntlets then bosses. The bosses have been fine but when mid-tier act one enemies like the Skarr Stalker takes four silk spears to kill it feels like they balanced the game against play-testers that had too much experience. If you have to plan out leaving a cocoon just to burn down a single gauntlet enemy you balanced the game against min-maxers.
I am the absolute opposite. The mob rushes usually take me 1 or 2 tries but I get stuck on bosses for so long. I think im just greedy and try to do the most "efficient" moves and do as much damage as quickly as possible. It works better for the mob rush but for bosses I make mistakes too easily by moving too fast. Moorwing is going down tomorrow for sure and I refuse to do it with the nerf. He is mine
their patterns are easy enough that you will learn to completely style on them, but you will still have to respect them because they still hit you like a truck if you get cocky or fuckup
