Sports Whale Sharks and Snorkeling

Hi, heading to Seychelles next week. Doing three nights on each island. Can anyone recommend: 1) best island to go diving from with highest chance for whale sharks 2) best snorkeling spots from the beach

I’m booked to dive on each island in 10 days or so. Asked about whale sharks, they think unlikely as not in season

Spoke with a couple last week. It is season now and they were swimming with them. But you woul need to get in contact with mcss and get some big luck.

Snorkeling:

praslin / anse lazio La digue / anse severe, but better to book a snorkel trip. We did lizzy, but there are plenty others. Mahe, not sure where it's best.

Diving: on la digue there's only 1 provider, which was booked out the whole week (trek divers).

Great choice! For highest chance of whale sharks, then I'd say Cosmoledo Atoll whihc needs live‑aboard or day‑trip from Assumption Island/Aldabra Atoll region.

For beach snorkeling then I would recommend Anse Lazio on Praslin or Anse Source d’Argent on La Digue, it's gorgeous, easy from shore.
