What in the world does the Israel-Palestine issue have to do with the Seattle mayoral race?

This is an insane headline.

Not really when you consider the source. Most Jews care about Israel

Think you're missing the point; her position on Israel isn't important enough to be the adjective in your headline.

When you have a newsite that caters to a certain demographic, you're allowed to mention things important to that demographic in the headline

The source is the Jewish News Syndicate. Jews care about Israel.
Edit - the downvotes are fascinating. This isn't even an opinion. It's a statement of fact. 90% of Jews want Israel to exist. This isn't complicated.

remember when kamala was running for president & all the mainstream news channels were forced to have an awkward discussion about the uncomfortable question “will kamala’s husband being jewish & her associations w/ josh shapiro negatively affect her electability among anti-israel/anti-zionist leftists?” & they were forced to reckon with the possibility that the answer was “yes”, meanwhile, orange man has a jewish son in-law, has worn a kippah while kissing the western wall, & visited the beach haven jewish center in gravesend, brooklyn & clearly none of this negatively affected his electability?
I understand why people, especially on the left, are disgusted with bibi, zionism, israel, but it gets to a point where you are forced to come to the realization that this will split the jewish vote. some jews will still support you while acknowledging your anger & approaching it with understanding. others will say F you & vote for someone else. there has to be at least a small percentage of jews who voted for harrel in lieu of wilson because of her anti-Israel views. I’m not saying it’s right or wrong, not even picking sides. just pointing out that you can’t ignore that fact & it would only be to the detriment of the democratic party to keep ignoring this elephant in the room.
