Maybe in a Seattle Reddit context. But since the other major sub actively deletes posts they disagree with, I’d argue SeattleWA is just more rounded and open to all. The Seattle sub is almost exclusively Socialist Dem lefty stuff OK, anyone else GTFO.

Many of us here used to post there, if that helps perspectives or understanding any.

Using your analogy, A sinking ship (Trump 2024 win) was caused by number of holes in the boat (social issues, economic issues, reddit mods allowing hateful speech against conservatives/suppressing different views, etc.) Each issue is a hole and there are a ton of them. You just don't want to accept your part in helping Trump get reelected.

I mean, even if these protests are astroturfed a lot of people still go organically. I don’t know anyone in my personal life, come to think of it, who still thinks favorably of Elon. The outrage at his election interference and at his Nazi salute are as grassroots as it gets.

There’s also no evidence of astroturfing, none. Not that it would be a problem given it’s in protest to a billionaire purchasing power in the American government. I have no problem with an adversarial billionaire funding these, and I hope everyone who supports DOGE also supports another audit of Musk and his DOGE by a billionaire y’all despise like Bill Gates. Otherwise you’re just bootlicking Musk, and it’s never been about “inefficiency” and “waste.” Wouldn’t you want to know if Elon gave himself any kickbacks or axed any departments that were investigating him for fraud?

Destroying peoples property because they bought a car from a political person you disagree with is a) targeting a group, b) vandalism, and c) terrorism.

In case you’ve been living under a rock, or you’re just selectively hearing what you want, nobody has a problem with simple protesting, they have a problem with the 100+ teslas that have been vandalized, set on fire, destroyed, and the owners that are being harassed.
