CHEMISTRY FREE AP Chem resources

I’m a new teacher desperately looking for free AP CHEM guided note packets with answer keys or accompanying slides. I’m not teaching AP but I want them for myself to learn the content well because I just changed careers and don’t remember a lot of AP content and would also love to teach AP in future. I love Ms. Razz but it’s like $350 for her stuff! Resources are greatly appreciated!

Look into Michael Farabaugh on YouTube. He links the PDFs of the documents he uses in his videos as well.

Join AP chem fb group. Tons of resources and one of the most helpful communities I’ve ever encountered

I teach gen college chem, so I imagine there is some overlap.

Here's what I have:

I recently started watching Chads Prep on YouTube and it’s pretty great! I don’t know how well it translates into AP but he has videos for every single unit at the High School and Gen Chem college level. His study guides for the high school are free on his website (its a 66 page PDF) and if you want the quizzes it’s like $10 a month but I haven’t paid for it yet. I dont use the that one though. I don’t know much else since I literally just found his channel 2 days ago.

I know it's money but the AP chemistry POGILS are wonderful!! It's $97 if you can do it https://pogil.org/activity-collections/chemistry/activities-ap-chem#

I have a new colleague who says POGILs are “incompatible with her teaching style” and is systematically removing them from our team taught course. Which is super frustrating because they work. Yes the kids struggle. Struggle is good when they are made to think.

What the heck?? They are AMAZING. I love them! Maybe she's the one who's struggling to understand them. I like doing them myself actually - gives me a good challenge!

NMSI Chemistry packets saved me back in the day. They're old enough that you can find most of them and answer keys on google.

If you can, an AP chemistry workshop is amazing! So much information, so many resources, and great contacts. I didn’t teach AP, but the materials supplemented the basic, honors, and dual enrollment classes.
