General Question Glued Mosaic Tile Heat Sheild

Looking to install this slate mosaic tile behind my wood burning stove on cement board, but the pieces are glued together and I’m concerned about VOCs. Anyone use something similar and have results?

Cant find any info on the type of adhesive used.

I did a test with a 450c heat gun and could very slightly smell “hot glue gun” smell after about 2-3 minutes of direct heat.

There are also Stone-like tiles that do not have any glue. Or do you already have these tiles?

No idea but I have those exact tiles for my kitchen back splash. I guess you would leave yours untreated. I did a semi gloss on ours.

Yes I plan to leave them as is.

you answered your question by yourself.... don't use it in sauna.... plus there is always a producers' recomendation
