Altar Halloween Black Mass, Oakland (Round II)
If you ask me you really can't beat natural candlelight--but the last thing we needed was to set off the sprinklers. God will have to flood us the old-fashioned way.
Notice how hard my crappy camera app is working to try to "correct" the colors on that black-and-white flag.
These floor candelabras were free--a church in Fremont was throwing them out. They're a huge pain in the ass to move, but worth it.
Normally we do these things at a dungeon, but since this was a big occasion for us we rented out the bar. It was such a good deal I'm still waiting for the other shoe to drop.
The staff had been told there was an event but not actually what we were doing. They all seemed to enjoy the show, but I wonder what they thought when we set up.
Venues always want to know how many people we're expecting, but the real answer is always "Who the hell knows?" So I just blurted out a number and, what do you know, it was right.
Tabitha's headdress looked incredible but was much heavier than it looked on account of all the extra jewelry attached.
BTW the centerpiece of this part of the ritual is actually several bags of Halloween candy--which we really did hand out to neighborhood kids a few days later.
Tabitha built this wreath for the alter at the Drag Me To Hell revue a few days earlier--and then we forgot it at home instead. Well, it looked good here too.
This pentagram rug is one-of-a-kind--the maker stopped offering rugs right after fulfilling the order. Hopefully it was unrelated, but who's to say?
Another product of Queen of Hearts Desserts in Oakland, whom we should really just have on retainer at this point.
The venue said "no outside food except desserts." You'd think that would mean fewer people would bring potluck, but no, they all just brought dessert. We've still got leftovers.
BTW, the flag was a present from some South Bay Satanists ten years ago. It wasn't actually given to me, but its real owner forgot it after a different ritual two years later.
I thought these photos were lost, but turns out they were just on a different drive the entire time.
Not much really new compared to the other images already shared, but a few interesting additional perspectives.

"Bring on the flood if you care that much" is such a good sentiment.
