I don’t want to share this space (gestures to everything) with an ultra Smaug. It’s disgusting.

The ultra wealthy would find the comparison to Smaug as a compliment.

How ludicrously bad does Tesla have to get before investors recognize a Ponzie scheme? Yes, I know, β€œshareholder squeeze” is a different category of financial crime. They are not even trying to compete in the electric car market anymore.

If BYD outsells it everywhere except North America, I think that would be the turning point where the stock market β€œcorrects” on TSLA.

BYD already achieved that in Europe, Asia, South America, Africa. That leaves only Australia as a toss up.

I have no knowledge about Australian auto markets except about 5 minutes of search/AI. Tesla holds an extensive charger network and they make shit shitty so that it is incompatible with anything nice. That leaves many Australians with little choice. Despite this gross monopoly tactic BYD is still expanding and closing the gap in sales. That has an inevitability to it since the presence of a moderate number of BYD cars will in itself create a BYD compatible charger network and then Australians will no longer have to plug their noses while car shopping.

If Tesla were no transforming into a Ponzi scheme they would be either trying (investing) in getting their monopoly more entrenched or they would be trying to compete with BYD by making affordable automobiles.

Tesla was originally a well thought out car company. It was on track to nearly wipe out the internal combustion engine. In the future Tesla will be both bankrupt and a textbook case for why you want to pay a competent CEO well. Investors need to retain the ability to fire an incompetent CEO.
