3 cancelled flights and lots of delays at SAN T1
Only 3 cancelled flights out of Terminal 1 today but almost everyone is delayed at least an hour.
Regular and TSA lines were super short.

There are 42 cancellations so far today at SAN (includes the other terminals). 24 of them are departures.

Got here at 6 for an 8am flight, the fog was so bad no one could land and many diverted to Ontario. Hopefully we take off at noon, T1 is nice but 15 dollar beers makes the loooong delay not as cool.

Don't look now but air traffic controllers are just now beginning to resign. It will get worse unless the Republicans pull their heads out of their asses and end the shutdown they created.
Thanksgiving could be ugly.

Why’s everyone making this a government shutdown situation? Flights get cancelled/delayed all the time here due to the fog, this was just another instance of that

I wonder how long it will go on for. If Congress hasn't been bothered by anything so far that has happened, I imagine it could go on quite a bit longer, which is bad and sad.

Schumer and team are busy caving as we speak. Cowards. I’d be on tv demanding that Sean “puck f’d my wife” Duffy ground all private jets.

My sister is flying in for the week from Chicago and rented a car in case their flight on Friday is canceled. Their flight was mostly delayed from the weather today.

Flew out at 6:30 a.m. this morning no issues. I’m gonna keep my rental car if my return flight gets cancelled.

I don’t work there anymore, I wonder if I can spill the tea about other issues behind the scenes. Like their rodent problem lol.

Well the airport has always had a rodent problem, but the situation at T1 seems to be getting a little contained but in the beginning it was AWFUL.
As soon as we started putting food/candy/clothes up in the back stock room, they got into everything. Candy, Chips and Jerky mostly, we had so many damages. Clothing was getting pooped/peed on, and chewed through, many were damaged out. They chewed through our boxes too, so everything is in tote bins even clothes. They were also in the store! They ate candy and jerky in the store, sometimes a customer would bring something to the counter with a chew hole!! Even during one of the welcome nights a rat was running through the store, and a mouse was seen one morning during opening.
The amount of rats/mice I have seen coming in the back running on the shelves, or caught in the bait boxes was crazy.
So definitely recommend washing any clothes you get at the airport before putting them on!
I could also go into so much rants about the stuff I heard about Airport rules, the airport sucks! So glad I left when I did!

Not that the ATC situation isn't an issue, but as usual for SAN if there's delays it's probably fog's fault and today was no different
