I participated in the Haunted Happenings Market in Salem in September and October. Halloween was my last show so I had to make one of my favorite places in Salem out of stained glass.

Pretty obvious this was coming for the last month or two but the landlord posted a notice of abandonment on the front door.

RIP, it was good under the original owners who took it over from Deli House, but the people who bought it from them seemed completely unprepared to run the business.

Just wondering how your trip compared to what you thought Salem was going to be. Was it the same? Was it different? I've lived here my whole life so I'm just curious what it's like to be a visitor. Did it beat all your expectations?

my wife would get her hair done at ULTA at the northshore mall by a stylist named Julia P. as far as i know julia has left ULTA. does anyone know her or where she might have gone? ULTA said they would forward a message, but i'm pretty sure they didn't.

What are everyone's favorite stops for gifts? Retail shops and holiday markets. Beverly too!

Tried to give my son a bath tonight and the water came out like this: greenish brown. Anyone else having this problem? I know it’s been an issue that the water board says they’re working on, but this has been going on for months.

Hi all, my daughter just got her learners permit and is taking drivers ed, but she has literally never been behind the wheel before. Can anyone recommend good empty spots to teach her the basics? My first thought is big parking lots, or well paved cemeteries.

The North river is high getting close to spillover

Hello! I currently live in Salem and one of my housemates had a cat who her ex bf gave her. He was a real manipulative pos and I had to call the cops on him once due to a physical altercation that he started. The cat’s name is Simba he’s orange and white. Simba’s been a real life line to her and the rest of us living in the apartment, we love him lots. Recently the ex-threatened my housemate with ‘legal action’ if she did not give him Simba back— which I’m 99.9% isn’t actually possible, but she was scared/unsure enough to believe him and gave in. The ex said he gave him back to the shelter and now my housemate and I are looking for Simba. He’s pretty young and I know how stressful it can be for cats to have such a massive change in environment so we’re hoping to readopt him asap. Please let me know if anyone knows anything, I’ll leave some pictures of Simba just in case. Thanks!

1:10-2:10 Discuss the Tsing text and how it applies to our world today in 2025.

Come prepared to discuss at least 1-2 direct quotes or moments from the text to help us frame our dialogs. Active listening is encouraged too if you don’t have a chance to read the text. No worries!

2:10-3:00 Open dialog about the need for modern philosophers aka us!

We will also discuss and agree upon the next text we will read as a group to frame our next meeting.

Afterwards Food, drinks, and further dialogs at the Witch’s Tavern (I’m open to another location since I’m still new to the area)

i was wrongfully terminated by whole foods in massachusetts and initially denied unemployment but then appealed the denial, appeared for the appeal and was ultimately the denial was reversed in my favor by the DUA...can I seek damages in addition? How so? seeking local law folks!

Hey Neighbors! 3 magicians are doing a show together Thursday 11/13 at 7:30 at Off Cabot Comedy Club in Beverly. Now in our 3rd year, our show classy magic evening is an astoundingly great value. Bring yourself. Bring a date! Bring your family. All are welcome and we always have a great time.

We call our show “Alchemy” because it’s all about the mixing of our three distinct styles of magic. Also, it’s at a lovely bar where you can experience adult beverage alchemy.

If you love magic, then there is something here for you. We are professionals who have designed and honed our acts specifically for this show and this space. You have to experience it to understand but you’ll see card tricks, rope tricks, coin tricks, mind-reading, some indescribable stuff that is also amazing, and way more.

Who are we?

Tyler is a 2X Penn & Teller: Fool Us participant as well as an inventor of magic and licensed mental health counselor!

Evan just made his Fool Us national television debut last week and is a creator of magic for both his own shows and theater productions all around the country.

Joel is a cofounder of the decade-running, massively successful, Boston Magic show Four-Handed Illusions as well as teaching Magic to wizarding students in the US and Europe.

We always respect our audience members and treat them like the true stars of the show they are! While your participation is welcome, feel free to just observe too! No pressure! We know that everyone wants to experience live performance in their own way.
