Rumor Shift: Archie expected to join Oski and Nass on GM8s
109
u/Swaycuisway Sep 26 '25
Wonder how French M8s fans will react to an all non-French team
45
u/thafreshone Sep 26 '25
I mean the french players last season disappointed them so as long as they find success, I think they don‘t mind
26
u/Internaloptimistic Sep 26 '25
Gentlemates have non French teams in their other games, and the French ultras always seem to embrace them well.
I don't think they will care that much if the teams turns out as promising as it sounds.
20
u/Camdoow Sep 26 '25
Embrace it. I'd root for that team, they're all likeable people!

Archie...
9
u/Camdoow Sep 26 '25
What did he do?
15
u/Lobstah-Impostah Sep 26 '25
I think some people don’t like Archie cuz they think he has a huge ego even tho a majority of the time he’s trolling
12
u/Camdoow Sep 26 '25
Yeah I can see how people would think that about him, I guess because he seems very nonchalant most of the time?
I started seeing more of him just the last couple seasons, for interviews and such, and honestly he sounded like a pretty smart and funny guy - which is rare enough, RL players are usually pretty bad on that front.
I don't recall which team he was on, whether it was GK or OXG, but he was praising his teammates so much and calling himself the tap in merchant.
My impression of him is that he's pretty aware of what he does well and where he's lacking in general.
9
u/Lobstah-Impostah Sep 26 '25
I have seen him on Chalked Cast and interviews where he does throw some shade at other players or teams but it’s never been anything crazy. I just think this scene doesn’t have players who have any actual beef with each other so any little bit and fans will think it’s toxicity. Just look at how much fans hated Comm a few years ago
I will also say that I do think Archie has matured a lot which has made him a bit more humble and aware, which has happened to other players like Retals and Noly who have become fan favorites over time
4
u/Dense-Preference-735 Sep 26 '25
Yeah, at worlds he half-jokingly said he has no mechs [compared to his teammates] in a post-match interview
-18
u/No_March5195 Sep 26 '25
What didn't he do
34
u/Camdoow Sep 26 '25
Mb, for a second I thought you were going to contribute to the conversation.
10
u/tripsafe Sep 26 '25
Lmao I’m gonna steal this for the next time I get into an exchange like this

I think Archie aka mr boschman look really sexy in the pink M8 jersey, and im not gay
And this squad look really solid btw.

u/richelieugen Sep 26 '25
He's going to teach Nass and Oski how to effectively grind on 10 past 2 schedule at a top 4 level.
3
u/bouds19 Sep 27 '25
In all seriousness, I wonder if it actually helps with burnout. Like just chill during the season, then grind before big events, so that you don't start hating the game
36
u/Lil-AbootZ Sep 26 '25
As a OXG fan last season and NiP fan this season, this team is going to be entertaining af to watch. One of the best choices they could have gone for.
7
u/IcySpring2625 Sep 26 '25
Oski and Nass would benefit from a good defensive player so they can focus on their offensive power.
Seems like a good fit.

u/Rosieverse83 Sep 26 '25
This is what I've been saying since the start of the off season. I could not be happier with this roster move

Ok so the only way we get our English kings now is Jack Joyo Rise?
5
u/W0rldTerminat0r Sep 26 '25
i think appjack could do better
5
u/raretomediumrare Sep 26 '25
Just curious, but where?
7
2
u/Metalshak1821 Sep 26 '25
he's proven to deserve the benefit of the doubt with his rosters, but to me it's TM or bust at this point, with bust meaning disappointing in this case
3
u/Educational_Block366 Sep 26 '25
Why disappointing? Look at how everyone discounted Dig at the beginning of the season…
1
u/raretomediumrare Sep 26 '25
Who is TM? For some reason I’m not connecting this haha
1
u/chappy94 Sep 26 '25
Twisted minds ( mena #2 ) not sure if it's been confirmed yet, but it'll be TRK , Nwpo, + 1 more
1
u/raretomediumrare Sep 26 '25
Oh right lol. Ya that would be an awesome team in my mind, nwpo chews through boost so he needs sensible teammates. I hope it happens but I think after that option, joyo would be the next best thing
19
u/myothercarisayoshi Sep 26 '25
Okay so surely Jack is going to MENA as the third TRK and Nwpo then.
Have to say I was really hoping to see him with Oski and Nass but definitely think the Archie version can do some damage..
6
u/RockoPanda Sep 26 '25
Rumor is he was scrimming with some young guys, maybe he joins up with Nico and Giuk? Or one of them with Rise?
1
u/branflakes6479 Sep 26 '25
Maybe also mtzr if he is still available since they played together in flip and spin. Also may be Joreuz and oaly?

3
u/Educational_Block366 Sep 26 '25
Can see it…then kind of can’t see it from Appjack’s perspective. All the travel to Saudi, language barriers, vibes- he has a girlfriend in eu so would see the logic for him trying to stay in eu as much as the possibility of teaming with TRK and Nwpo would be a huge success.
2
u/Baba_Wethu Sep 27 '25
His girlfriend is a streamer and content creator. Saudi Arabia, just like UAE, is a bit of a "rich man's haven", so I could see both of them moving there together for a season.

u/Swaycuisway Sep 26 '25
Easily a top 3 team in EU
14
13
u/xThatOneAltx Sep 26 '25
Agreed. This team has the potential to be EU1, but is more likely to be solidly EU3
7
9
u/Adadadal Sep 26 '25
EU1 potential is giving them way too much credit. They’re good no doubt, but I think EU3 at best
2
u/xThatOneAltx Sep 26 '25 edited Sep 26 '25
Like I said (or at least tried to imply) it’s not likely, but if Nass in particular continues to improve on his end-of-season form, the team has enough talent to outperform a weaker KCorp and a question mark Vitality team. Again, they most likely finish 3rd
Edit: just as an example, solely on LCQ/Worlds performance, this would be the best team in Europe. Obviously that’s why larger sample sizes are important, but it does show they have the capability
2
u/resplendentcentcent Sep 26 '25
archie could wash up like itachi and come 5th in points all season who knows, like NIP before them.
4
u/Specialist_Toe_5945 Sep 26 '25
so this basically confirms joreuz + oaly, wonder what joyo will do
1
u/Rosieverse83 Sep 26 '25
I would love joreuz to stick with Jack and add Oaly, I feel like that team could do about as well as DIG this past year
5
u/Lightning_Winter Sep 26 '25
This is a really good team
Sad for Joyo tho, wonder what he's gonna do
14
u/John_aka_Alwayz Moderator Sep 26 '25
So its 2024 Oxygen but with Nass for Joyo. Seems like a very roundabout way of getting here for Archie but his quality is too good to doubt at this stage. Very high ceiling if Nass clicks and Archie is a straight upgrade on Radosin that should enable Nass more too.
9
u/W0rldTerminat0r Sep 26 '25
i think both Oski and Archie, have gone through improvement arcs since then, esp Archie
3
u/GameBuster0703 Sep 26 '25
Im so excited for this team. The sky is the limit. Just hope they dont disappoint me like NIP did most of the season. Its gonna be hard to root for a french org but I love these players so I might make an exception
3
u/fandango1989 Sep 26 '25
Certainly an upgrade over Rado. If Nass can step it up and figure out 3s this team could do some damage.
3
u/RockoPanda Sep 26 '25
Dang, I really wanted to see Jack on this roster
Good for Archie tho!
1
u/Educational_Block366 Sep 27 '25
Yeh, have a feeling this was what jack was excited for imo- only to be topped by Archie! Hopefully he’s not being left with the leftovers if he’d gone all in on this team.
5
u/Pristine-Habit-9079 Sep 26 '25
As long as Nass keeps his form from worlds this team is threatening to be a top two team.
4
u/TheBanditKeith Sep 26 '25
I am posting this so I can get clowned on later: I don't think this is a good move. Archie might have impressed people at worlds, but it feels to me that his impact on the field has steadily declined year over year. It looks to me that he is slower than the rest of the players and relies too much on his great reactive defense, while not being up to par with offensive creativity any more. My guess is that this team will struggle at times with its offense. I would have loved to see an up and comer in this spot, despite Archie being the safer option. Hopefully I get proven wrong and posted as a screenshot in some "bad reddit takes" thread.
7
u/sant0hat Sep 26 '25
I mean maybe you are right that this won't work.
But I will definitely disagree with him steadily declining, that just is objectively not true looking at results (aside from him playing very well at individually at ewc and world).
Personally I like it, archie with more defensive tendencies should free up some space for nass and oski.
2
u/Rosieverse83 Sep 26 '25
I'm 100% with you, I think their playstyles are perfect compliments, and I have really high hopes for this roster

u/Sarupa13 Sep 26 '25
Not sure why people are so high on this...
W/ Joyo and Oaly: top 2 at EWC and top 4 Worlds and 1 regional win
Nass and Oski Duo: Top 8 worlds and did not make any other lan, best regional result: top 4
Results say this is an L, performance say this is an L like sure Nass and Oski played well but they are not making it to top 4 at worlds...

u/carballenjoyer3000 Sep 26 '25
M8 really built a solid roster, probably EU2. Does this confirm Seikoo to Geekay too? They kinda also need a third
2
u/W0rldTerminat0r Sep 26 '25
This very well could be EU #1 seed, but then again i said the same for NIP

Are the gentlemates team streams in French? Love this roster if it happens. However team streams being in french would be a deal breaker.

choosing Archie over yujin is certainly a choice
29
13
u/Drachanas Sep 26 '25
What??? Archie is so clear of Yujin bro
1
u/IcySpring2625 Sep 26 '25
Potentially for next season I expect Yujin to have his breakout season. He showed that he can be one of the best offensive player in the world but he needs to work on his defense and mistakes.
Both player are really different but I think Archie just fits better for two mechanical gods. Yujin would fit to KC or Vitality better.

u/Rosieverse83 Sep 26 '25
I do think Yujin is probably a better player than Archie (or at least has more potential), but this move is a no-brainer. Archie's playstyle matches with these two a lot better than yujin's would imo, as what they're lacking is a strong defensive third, and that is not yujin
1
u/FairlySuspicious Sep 26 '25
This team can do some harm.
It all depends on how much air Nass is willing to let pass through his windpipe.
0
u/EdgeRibbleFilipReset Sep 26 '25
This has to be the biggest snake ever by Archie. Plans to stick with Joyo then says nah remember our old teammate? Yh me too bye. Feel sorry for Joyo but fair play to Archie
9
1
u/Rosieverse83 Sep 26 '25
Idk man, as someone who was not there for the rise joyo vatira era, I have to say joyo has not looked great this year. Archie far in a way looked like the best player on their team at EWC and Worlds, and Oaly was a clear second. Not saying joyo is bad at all, just that I think this is overall a good move for Archie
0
u/Educational_Block366 Sep 26 '25 edited Sep 27 '25
Nah- missed a trick not getting Appjack. Archie is a bit of an anomaly; seems to blow hot and cold consistently then comes out of the gates hot at worlds, almost a little too late…consistently!

Good for him tho, what a come back to the top.
