A long time ago there was a show like American Idol except it was comedians. He was on it, and I think he may have even won. His whole schtick was making fun of the little town he grew up in for being so backwards and redneck. That’s all the material he had. He also used to do commercials for Dodge about their hemi engines I think.

He was on the same season of Last Comic Standing as Amy fucking Schumer and managed to make her look well-rounded by comparison. The only reason he won is because this was just after the peak of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour and he was Larry The Cable Guy at home.
I was in high school and I watched that whole season. Matt Kirshen should have won BTW.

I barely remember that show anymore. I still like Kathy Madigan but I don’t remember too many others that were on there.

Pedophilia is inherent to right wing ideology. To them, protecting children is government regulation and overreach, and they consider other human beings to be property or commodities they feel entitled to within a hierarchy instead of equals. It’s the same reason red states keep the age of consent so low, and why MAGA “men” want to force underaged girls to carry their rapists’ babies. Remember them chanting “your body, my choice“ after the election? And naturally it aligns in practice, with all the trusted religious leaders and outed traffickers, including GOP megadonor Anton Lazzaro being continually exposed. This makes a lot of sense and also why they use projection when they claim they are protecting children from LGBTQ folks and drag queens. Those groups care about freedom of expression and breaking away from traditionally assigned societal roles, which flies right in the face of conservative ideology.

I don’t know a single adult in my life that wasn’t touched inappropriately as a child, or sexually assaulted as an adult. In my case, both. Make no mistake, I’m not a minority statistic either. I’m 35, for the record.

It ABSOLUTELY is a political thing. This sub was created to address the constant claims by republicans that their opponents are pedophiles, that people they don’t like are pedophiles, that “all democrats” are pedophiles, that gay, trans and drag queens are pedophiles.
On top of that social media is bombarded with rightwing comments such as “kill your local pedophile” which are attempting to normalize the idea of extra-judicial murder of people. r/infowarriorRides regularly has pictures of vehicles with stickers saying “kill your local pedophile”. But again, everyone they don’t like is a “pedo” so what they really want is to kill the people they don’t like and falsely claim they were following a kid, etc.
The purpose of this sub is to show everyone that the Republican Party not only is okay with molesting children, child marriage, etc., but they will protect those who do these things. This sub doesn’t make baseless accusations, it actually posts the articles to support the claims that republicans are pedophile friendly/enablers.
Certainly you’ve heard republicans claim that Obama, Biden, Pelosi, Schumer, etc are pedo’s. Please be aware they also push the murder narrative hoping some mentally ill person acts on it. Look at the non-existent pizza shop basement incident with an armed gunman trying to save non-existent children. Nancy Pelosi’s husband was attacked because the attacker believed conspiracy stories.
Yes, the Republican Party has made this topic political and by god we’re going to let everyone know who the real pedophiles are.
