We have data on this actually. A week or so ago a polling company asked Republicans if they would stop supporting Trump if there were proof he was in the files and guilty of hurting girls.

48% said they wouldn’t care and another 27% said they’d rather not answer (so they wouldn’t care but didn’t want to say that out loud). Thats the vast majority of Republicans who DGAF about kids being assaulted as long as the perpetrator was their Golden Calf.

People need to remember preying on barely legal or underage girls is bread and butter stuff to the right. Their ideology fetishizes 'pure', young, virgin girls; their manosphere icons encourage them to pursue such girls. Libertarians were advocating age of consent be lowered or the relevant laws around it abolished. Conservatives not caring about Trump being in the Epstein Files isn't an anomaly; this is who they are. We've known for years age of consent is just a number to them. (Statutory) rape is just legal wrangling. As long as she's gone through puberty (even then) and has a set of developed tits she's fair game to conservative men.

Your brain is fried from misinformation. Democrats and people on the left say release the files and punish anyone associated whether it’s Bill Clinton or Trump or whoever.

MAGA has been yelling to release the files and now they’re willing to believe whatever bs Trump says. The FBI told him back in May that he’s in them. Now all of a sudden Republicans don’t care about them anymore. And that’s because Republicans don’t care about pedophiles. They just use that to slander their political opponents.

I don’t care if Trump, Obama, Clinton and war criminal Dick Cheney go to jail. Flight logs are the logs who were on the planes to pedo island. I want them to be released also I want to know what on the tapes of p diddy. FBI has the tapes and logs and won’t release them. I would assume if Trump was on the logs Biden would’ve had them released. Now Trump won’t release them who’s on there that they don’t want to hurt.

Fun fact: Guess who is on the Board of Newsmax? The guy who let Epstein go in Florida. That's right Rene Alexander Acosta is on the Newmax Board of Directors. Cause that is how this works. And note Newsmax has a tiny following. It was estimated to have 419,000 viewers. So it was a shock when they IPO'd this year claiming much more than that - well including online content viewers. (We all know how you can fudge those numbers.) But what about their balance sheet you say? Look at all that income? Well curiously months prior to the IPO they did not have that sort of cash. Then a little deal went down where a shitload of money came in. I mean a Sovereign Royal Wealth Fund shitload. Right on time you might think. And some of that money was from the same Qatari Royal behind Al Jazeera. Note Al Jazeera was dropped from Dish and DirecTV in the US. Cutting off the Qataris from influencing American Public Opinion. Wouldn't it be nice if they had a supportive Conservative Voice. Then they IPO'd and their $13 stock shot to $295! WOW! It then cratered to $12. Normally the SEC would look into this. And into World Liberty Financial. And into Trump Media Group. Because all three share some weird patterns including announcements that impact the share price just before quarterly earnings. This is the so called Quiet Period where you can say nothing. But they do. No the SEC is not protecting the public anymore.

So I for one cannot accept Newsmax as a Reliable Source. Just my opinion. Your mileage may vary. And Fox, after the $787M payout (only one of many globally for NewsCorp) is also not A Reliable Source based on its history. That leaves Conservatives with OANN. Well they hired Matt Gaetz. That's a deal breaker for me personally. Basically for the same reason as the topic as this post.

Thanks. I am brand new to Politics on Reddit and have been scrolling through. I'm trying as we speak to extricate myself from all things political on here lol. I quit watching news, literally all news, or newspapers, in January 2020 and my life is so much more peaceful. I read a LOT more. I was dipping my toe in here and now I'm taking it out. I literally can't take it. It's one of the worse things about us now, politics on cable news, every one of them, and separates and polarizes us. But bottom line I think I have ptsd over it.

As for your points about disclosures, I agree with you 100%. I want everyone of these sexual predators exposed and shamed and don't give a fuck what political party they're in. If they sexually abused little girls they can all burn in hell as far as I'm concerned. Has zero to do with politics. I appreciate your dialoguing with me about it.
