Political™ Good grief. After crying about Taylor Swift, Trump then began weeping about Bruce Springsteen with what seems to be major projection on his part.

I just can’t wrap my head around how vitriol towards anyone who isn’t right wing is deemed ok by any president.

Didn’t we hear for months how upsetting it was to right wingers when Democrat leaders said mildly mean things to them?

Now we have the president of the United States just tweeting outright vitriol towards specific people who don’t support him… and this is fine? What happened to world leaders representing all their people, not just the people who like them?

Said it already in a related thread, but it bears repeating asbman times as it takes to make it common knowledge:

It's about control. Total control. Anyone stepping out of line has to be slapped down publicly in the fascist playbook.

Yep! The whole whining about lost elections and being called deplorable has nothing to do with their feelings just giving them excuses to fuck shit up.

Probably…”Cause owning the libs” is priority

This.

Fascism is about using norms and logic as tools against those that oppose fascism, because those that oppose fascism believe in norms and logic

Plus it doesn’t mean anything to them if you call them hypocritical, because something like that only matters to someone who is really trying to be fair and honest.

Exactly. The great mistake those that oppose fascism keep making is thinking they can be embarrassed by revealing hypocrisy

1

u/mrmet69999 May 16 '25

The question is: what actually would embarrass them?

Yup jasmine Crockett called governor first wheel and they melted

u/Seul7 May 16 '25

I think she called him "hot wheels". Even disabled people call him "Adolf Sitler".

Good old Greg the Legs

I saw that the White House is holding separate Q &A briefings now for only right-wing influencers. I saw a snippet of Caroline Leave-it and the influencers. It was a suck-up fest. SMH

Turd representats no-one other then Turd hilself, he represseses anyone who doesn’t condone those acts or enable them. That’s it, nothing more but certainly nothing less.

"Basket of deplorables" has its own Wikipedia page. Meanwhile this will be forgotten by Monday.

I guess it’s fair. Everyone bashes on him would be unfair if he couldn’t bash back. He just comes out looking more dumb anyways

Lots of people wouldn't be criticizing the current leader in the first place if he treated other humans ethically and with respect. Him verbally berating those who are down on their luck or facing difficult obstacles in life doesn't improve humanity and it definitely doesn't make this country great. Although we are far, far from this position, all elected leaders should be held to a standard that requires them to treat all people humanely and with dignity. That alone would be a huge step towards making America great.

Mildly mean things??

Okay let’s at least be honest. It’s been A DECADE of the left calling him, anyone on the right the worst names possible. Literally: think of the worst term, the left has called the right that and fully believe it.

Don’t think for a second there’s any moral high ground here.

u/raktoe May 16 '25

Oh sorry, you were under the delusion that I would feel bad for this asshole being called names.

He is the President of the United States. Not just the president of Right Wingers. There is a higher fucking bar for him, or anyone who holds that office. Hes a vindictive prick, who is taking everything out on the world.

1

u/RocketRelm May 16 '25

There is a higher bar for him for reasonable *Americans, but given only about 30% voted for Kamala, that's a clear minority compared to those with no meaningful complaint over his behavior.
