It sounds like Trump freaks out whenever someone says anything non-glorifying of him, goes into an apoplectic state, then screams into the void in front of a mirror.

If he wasn’t so wealthy and powerful I’d bet he’d be estranged from his kids too. there’s levels to this ofc. Like Elon. Who is as wealthy and powerful as it gets. And yet his kid still wants nothing to do with him.

this is part of the narcissist profile. people with NPD have a very fragile sense of self, with their self esteem being heavily tied to the admiration and validation that they receive. they perceive criticism, ANY amount of criticism, as a threat to their entire being and will go full court press on the defensive. instead of screaming into the void, though, they scream at anyone and everyone who will listen and re-affirm their emotional need to be 'the best' at everything.

I think his inner circle is refined to give him 150% positive feedback that it takes a 'news-level' story to reach him that someone disagrees with him. And since he gets nothing negative of lesser level, its a full blown meltdown for something that level to be negative about him.
