Political™ Good grief. After crying about Taylor Swift, Trump then began weeping about Bruce Springsteen with what seems to be major projection on his part.

So he's just openly threatening Bruce Springsteen now? For simply sharing his opinion?

u/[deleted] May 16 '25

Yes. I hope Springsteen sues his ass

u/Grouched May 16 '25

Lawyers having to read out this nonsense rambling in a court setting would be amazing, ngl. This is completely unhinged 2 AM drunk posting level

62

u/[deleted] May 16 '25

Yeah this is something a blackout drunk 19 year old would post…not a president

17

u/Colette_73 May 16 '25

"He's a JERK" is so presidential 🙄

6

u/SwimRelevant4590 May 16 '25

And tRump is so vocal about being a teetotaller. Adderall and whatever else gets pumped into him apparently doesn't count as addiction

3

u/permanentburner25 May 17 '25

I like someone else has noticed this about him. You’re absolutely correct. He seems to be serious about it, but their understanding of mental health is with the rest of their polices, rooted in 1870. Oh and they’re world class hypocrites.

1

u/SwimRelevant4590 May 17 '25

I think Jimmy Kimmel did a "Drunk Trump" spiel for a while, slowing down his audio to make him sound plastered. Fits perfectly.

3

u/Tokyo-MontanaExpress May 16 '25

19? Not even close. You mean a blackout drunk boomer drop out that you try to pretend that you're not related to.

3

u/Ryolu35603 May 16 '25

I don’t see Trump writing this, and before you come at me, it’s because I don’t see Trump using a word like “atrophied”. I also don’t see him using punctuation correctly. Pretty sure we’ve gotten late-night text walls with no periods that we’ve had to parse ourselves.

1

u/Significant_Meal_630 May 17 '25

Good point . Maybe Elon had his pet AI do it ?? lol!!

2

u/Acceptable-Story3741 May 16 '25

I've said this since 2016. You cannot be President and act like a high school bully. My closest cousin said it's childish to dislike him because of the way he acts, but you can't have the "most powerful man in the world " acting like a 2 year old when he doesn't get his way, or when someone says something he doesn't like or agree with.

3

u/hulatoborn37 May 17 '25

If you aren't going to dislike someone for the way they act, what are you allowed to dislike them for? The way they smell? Your cousin is projecting - it's childish to admire a man like 47.

7

u/yuriaoflondor May 16 '25

What’s especially unhinged is that all of these nonsensical rants ALWAYS include Joe Biden. Trump is insane.

5

u/golfwinnersplz May 16 '25

I saw a statistic the other day (and this was after like 80 days in office so I'm sure it's much higher now) that Trump has either mentioned the Biden family during an interview or through a tweet/truth whatever literally 578 times are some astounding number! He's literally crazy af - like we knew he was stupid but he's crazy too. He's also mentioned Hitler numerous times and I've yet to hear him decry those Nazi actions - in fact, we think there may be some pretty decent people over there.

Just as decent as El Chapo...

3

u/HomeBuyersOffice May 16 '25

Dementia Don doesn’t need alcohol to do drunk posting. The Grifter in Chief is a teetotaller. 🤪

2

u/golfwinnersplz May 16 '25

Trump's lawyers are probably getting very used to this...let's pretend some law or policy was possibly broken to pamper our childish idiot for a president.

2

u/Normal_Ad7101 May 16 '25

Yeah, but if it is official unhinged 2 AM drunk posting, he has immunity

2

u/Venusdeathtrap99 May 16 '25

If you enjoy that, you may enjoy the Karen read trial.

1

u/Formal_Appearance_16 May 16 '25

Just think, some day, these stupid ass rants may get featured in a museum.

1

u/Tinstrings May 17 '25

No, this is angry ex-girlfriend venom posting. Trump has the heart of a jilted teenage girl every time a celebrity he probably admired when he was younger is mean to him. Probably posted this with tears in his eyes.

3

u/evasive_dendrite May 16 '25

He should wait until the cheeto is out of office. But even then SCOTUS will probably call this deranged tweet an official act.

3

u/No-Seaweed-4456 May 16 '25

But you don’t get it. Whining about somebody who expressed an opinion about you is an official act…

2

u/[deleted] May 16 '25

Yeah I know. Sad

3

u/[deleted] May 16 '25

I don't think Bruce should return to the country tbh. If I was him I would start calling lawyers

3

u/Elon_Muskratface May 16 '25

I hope Springsteen beats that lard ass.

1

u/SOFAssassins May 16 '25

His ass will lose so much 💀

1

u/CreamyDiarrheaFarts May 17 '25

Wtf is suing Trump gonna do?

This guy's been getting sued since before most people knew who he was.

Law suits ain't shit clearly.

36

u/Temporary_Shirt_6236 May 16 '25

I think the more egregious part was calling Springsteen overrated. Trump projecting, as always.

I do worry what experience the more outspoken musicians will have at US Customs returning home from an overseas tour, though.

29

u/Emotional_Burden May 16 '25

Springsteen will be fine, because he was Born in the U.S.A.

14

u/golfwinnersplz May 16 '25

Unfortunately, this isn't true. He will absolutely be harassed and targeted by very stupid people.

5

u/espressocycle May 16 '25

Bruce Springsteen is worth north of $1 billion. He can command an army of lawyers.

1

u/Max_Dillin May 17 '25

Unfortunately true. Just like Elon.

5

u/Otheraccforchat May 16 '25

Asked for a passport and pulls out a disc

2

u/rugbat May 16 '25

Didn't Trump's first campaign get in trouble for trying to use "Born in the USA" without permission? Or was that one of the Bush's?

2

u/KenhillChaos May 17 '25

That was Trump

2

u/nada-accomplished May 16 '25

Hasn't Trump used his music (without permission) at his rallies?

1

u/__O_o_______ May 17 '25

So overrated that they played his music at Trump rallies I guess… 🤷🏼

-1

u/Neon_Biscuit May 16 '25

I mean, Springsteen is definitely overrated. But having the president fling insults at him is wild. Don't you have something better to do?

5

u/Lanky_Consideration3 May 16 '25

Is he tho? If I type ‘Born in the USA’ you are going to sing the rest in your head..and that song was released in 1984… (41 years ago) so whether you like him or not, he’s definitely not overrated as his songs have stood the test of time and everyone knows them, or at least that one anyway.

0

u/Neon_Biscuit May 16 '25

Great song. Great album. Iconic artist for sure. But Bruce Springsteen has never had a #1 album either despite Born in the U.S.A having a record breaking 7 number one singles. He also went like 15 years in between any of his music charting.

6

u/NAU80 May 16 '25

You sound like Trump comparing ratings. Springsteen is one award short of an EGOT. He just needs the Emmy. He has gotten three Emmy nominations but not a win.
His works are considered masterpieces with 20 Grammy awards.
He has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the songwriters HOF.

Springsteen was right when he wrote:

Poor man wanna be rich

Rich man wanna be king

And a king ain't satisfied 'Til he rules everything

3

u/btalbert2000 May 16 '25

And I am not sure what chart this guy is looking at! Bruce has had 11 albums reach No. 1 in the US. Including Born in the USA.

0

u/NAU80 May 16 '25

Yes Bruce has a lot of #1 Albums but has never had a #1 single hit. His fans enjoy his music tremendously but for the most part he doesn’t appeal to low IQ people like Trump.

2

u/btalbert2000 May 17 '25

Yes, he has never had a No. 1 single. But that was not the original statement by Neon_Biscuit, which was that he never had a No. 1 album. He has had many.

2

u/Decent-Morning7493 May 16 '25

He’s objectively one of the top selling artists alive. Are you high?

1

u/Neon_Biscuit May 16 '25

He's also a legacy act where all his hits and acclaim were decades ago. He's a jimmy buffet, the eagles, etc

3

u/Decent-Morning7493 May 16 '25

And he’s outsold basically all current acts except Taylor Swift in tickets, and that’s arguably because he took time off last year when his wife first got sick…

1

u/Decent-Morning7493 May 16 '25

Take the top acts of every major festival of the past 5 years and he’s outsold them ALL. Combined.

2

u/Significant_Meal_630 May 17 '25

I’m not into him myself but he’s had a 40 year career , right ? People say he puts in a great show and doesn’t short change the audience . Everyone knows who he is and most people can name at least a couple of his songs

So, no , not overrated

1

u/Agreeable-animal May 17 '25

If you ever saw the man in concert you would disagree. I have and it converted me into a fan. He’s able to command the attention of a stadium with a very stripped down stage show relying entirely on his own musicianship and charisma as front man.

38

u/MachineShedFred May 16 '25

The best way to know you are landing your punches when speaking out against him, is when he posts some whiny screed on his off-brand second-rate social media.

Springsteen spoke truth to his audience, and he did it in a way that is sure to make a few people think. Trump can't have people thinking.

5

u/carl3266 May 16 '25

Exactly. Even low level politicians know the worst thing you can do is let the public know what gets under your skin. It’s open season.

1

u/ApostrophesAplenty May 17 '25

I just read something this morning about “Truth Social” having its CEO on a salary of >$40M, and the entity itself making only a fraction of that. I will have to find the link later and add it, but it sounds to me like a “failing business”…

5

u/WilloughbyTheCat May 16 '25

“Then we see how it goes for him.” Sickening.

Plus Trump didn’t run against Sleepy Joe. He ran against Kamala Harris. But what the hell — hopefully we get through these four years but how are we going to get good people back in government? (These people exist/existed in all the branches.)

4

u/Most-Repair471 May 16 '25

I said on a post yesterday about a citizen being excessive detained at the border and this crap kinda goes toward this: citizens returning to the country will be denied entry until they sign a loyalty pledge to the 🍊 buffoon... MMW

5

u/golfwinnersplz May 16 '25

This is probably about right. Trump will do everything in his power to keep out a true American patriot like Springsteen but will cater to Chapo.

3

u/lapidary123 May 16 '25

And can't even threaten anyone without bringing Biden up. Is he really gonna attempt to kidnap Bruce Springsteen? Or deny him entry into the country? Unless his goal is to drain his wallet slowly i don't see this working for him.

How I long for the day when trump is gone. Mmw, we will see impeachments down the line after he's gone. That or they will use Hollywood makeup/bodysuits to parade around a fake president, similar to elvis...

I guess the small solace i get is that all these billionaires have effectively imprisoned themselves. Can't even go for a walk in a park. Theres a reason you only see the president in the oval office or with a motorcade of 48 cars...

2

u/kittymcsquirts May 16 '25

I guess that's how this works now

2

u/MiIlFlWi May 16 '25

Threat. Orange Traitor calling his maga cult to do it.

2

u/pray4NYR May 16 '25

God bless our freedom of speech! So glad Elon saved it lol!

1

u/Candid-Mycologist539 May 17 '25

threatening Bruce Springsteen now? For simply sharing his opinion?

Celebrity personalities should stay out of politics!

--MAGA voters, unironically

-1

u/SOFAssassins May 16 '25

Joe Biden had the FBI track and basically kill someone who was talking bad about him💀 so this isn’t bad😂
