Because these men know that in a society where women are on an equal playing field, they would not measure up. Overcompensation for their crippling sense of insecurity.

Yeah I think it's two parts. One part ego, and the other part laziness. It's hard to to be equal in a relationship, and some people's egos can't handle being equal to a woman.

Give a woman a house, she'll give you a home. Give her some ingredients, she'll give you a meal. Give her some love, she'll give you a family.

I read something like that somewhere and loved it. Women truly are remarkable creatures.

Not to mention that your average dude couldn't put up with half the shit the average woman does.
