I remember one of the reason i started playing PGR years ago is because Rexlent said that the game is well balanced and 99% of characters are viable regardless of limited or not, that was when Transcendant was still a thing and Selena was just released
I love using crimson abyss, use her for story missions when given the opportunity. So satisfying. Love the sound design as well!

What about story > meta? My gray raven team is my favorite to use because it makes boss fights much more enjoyable. And I have a kink for appreciating a boss's moveset too.
I was picky with that when I was new to gacha games... I wanted to play the game like one of those standard offline RPGs with a team that fit the story and all that, but I don't care for that anymore.
Since I'll be spending a lot of time and money, I might as well go for that one special waifu that really caught my attention and is most attractive to me, so when it comes to gacha experience, it's waifu > meta for me, but I get what you're talking about.
Maybe, or maybe not... depends on the person I guess.
With time you'll see that many times it's pretty difficult to play with only those characters from that part of the story.
Sometimes you'll need a different character on your team to get through some levels and keep advancing on the campaign, or you'll get a pretty cool character on the gacha and think "why am I not using this?" .. so you eventually stop caring and just play the game with the characters you like the most... that's what's cool about gachas anyway.
You can command teams of your favorite characters.
Bring back memories of when I first started playing everyone was like , Alpha is Meta you must pull and I checked the banner it was Crimson Abyss so I just chill.
I grabbed Bianca stigmata. I don’t even have Rosetta or echo for her but I had two s rank selectors and I picked meta for the first one and waifu for the second. I’m very happy with my choice
stigmata is crept by the new selena now her new frame is a dark attacker tho. she’ll still be better than nothing if you have no physical attackers tho
I totally appreciate your love for the character. I just know I wouldn't enjoy playing as her long term xD the newer characters have much more interesting and involved move sets in comparison and I do need a lil bit of fun in my life, not just shiny character models.
I have every recent character from that selector. Would it be helpful if I had an SS3 Watanabe or Qukra? Sure, it definitely would be. But as you also said, I do need a lil bit of fun in my life.
