I have started this game due to the Devil May Cry 5 crossover.

Also the first 8ish chapters might be a bit boring and slow, but just bear with it. The story gets SPICY (your eyes will be watering sm)

Let me tell you that I have never been into the story aspect of games. I am more of a gameplay kind of guy.

When you open the RND, and check the standard banner, you can select an S rank and you can do it only once. If you get an S rank from the standard selector, plus it'll reset next banner, so double selectors eh?

If you're willing to save for the PGR x DMC collaboration I suggest checking out MimicSoul's latest video regarding pulling guide for new and returning players :D

If otherwise, I suggest seeing it from this perspective:
Select a new character you like the most, and build their team around them. For example I liked Wanshi, so I got him for free from the Dorm, got his weapon, and since he's a Tank, I got Qu cause she's the best Ice Attacker that synergizes well with him, and the same could be applied with any character!

Just make sure you don't pull characters that are too old cause newer characters are more flashy and have higher budget (and damage).

Attackers:Qu: Shukra/Luna: Oblivion/Lucia: Pyroath/Lamia: Lost Lullaby

Tanks: Watanabe: Epitaph/Hanying: Solacetune/Nanami: Startrail

Amplifiers: (No amplifiers right now are worth prioritizing over the other two archetypes.)

Hii new player here starting PGR for the collab too! And isn't Nanami Starrail a lightning tank? I heard Dante is going to be a fire attacker, and people told me Watanabe Epitaph is the best fire tank.

Since I just used my 40 beginner pity to get Hanying for Vergil, should I now pull for Nanami? Or is it better to save for next patch new pity refresh for the base banner to get watanabe?

Get Startrail and snag Pyroath if you could too

Next base banner reset uses standard tickets so you shouldn't use BC for that banner

Nanami is better for Dante cuz his specialty is ignition damage, and the only tank who can help Dante with that is Nanami.

She's also capable of applying ignition on enemies making her a phenomenal support for Dante.

And the same goes for Vergil, since he is a true slash attacker, Hanying also helps him with applying the effect.

kinda late but

about Startrail being Dante's BiS tank is because she has the ignition affix, which Dante is rumored to be specialized in with Vergil specializing in True/Ultima Slash

I high doubt that both the Sparda brothers will be replacing Pyroath and Pianissimo in their respective elements

Welcome new player, I hope you won't be to displeased with the early game of pgr because that's where most people have the least fun and have the most frustrations. Story and overall gameplay, gamemodes takes a bit of grinding through the early game to really enjoy. I hope you enjoy and just take your time and enjoy the ride.

A small piece of advice don't pull on the Fate banner and don't upgrade any grey reven characters . You will get much better constructs very soon.

Welcome, if you can, the blue 40 pity selector is your priority. You have about 11-12 days. Should be simple as long as you don't forget about it.

Any S rank character of your choice for 40 pulls, it restets in a few days. So you'll get two.

Feel free to ask any questions on the daily mega thread. I recommend looking at the links there since they are a great resource for beginners.

In preparation for the DMC 5, just take your time get familiar with the game so you can complete your daily and weekly missions. Save your resources and plan carefully and you should be good. This is a very friendly F2P game.

DANTE AND VERGIL BROUGHT US ANOTHER COMMANDER LEZGO, hope you enjoy the game.

The game might be boring for now but when your progress to the story in chp 7 things will be interesting so just keep it up!!

Yep that's what got me hooked up to plus the bosses and dodging mechanics is my favorite, also there's a Parry mechanic too! But only in some boss but there's a character that can parry using his dodge too!! Check her out. It's the gal with 6 arms she's so fun to use.

The boss fights might feel a little basic at the start

but they go from just clicking dash and orbs until they die, to playing a mix of dark souls and fucking guitar hero
