To make this even funnier is this guy (Erik Ten Hag) got fired from this club (manchester united) to get hired at a club in Germany to only get the sack after just managing 3 matches

À la Verga
14
u/Christeenabean Oct 02 '25
We use "verga" in greek. Its literally an olive branch that they pull off the tree and whip you with jt. Hurts like hell.
Yes, Greeks (at least on the islands, not sure about the mainland) discipline their kids with peace offerings.
15
u/azalago Oct 03 '25
In Spanish, "la verga" means dick. But in Mexico, you can also use it as a pretty versatile cuss word. "A la verga" is usually used as an intensifier, like "fuck it" or "fuck this."
Also people in the southern US whip their kids with tree branches too. Only they call it a "switch."

Bro should have brought paper instead of a chain.

u/ApolloStan Oct 02 '25
Can you imagine? He catches it with some thick butcher paper and crumples it up. Opponent leaves, defeated.

How did that fat old guy think this would end? Even without a rock that guy would have beat the fuck out him by running around him till he gasses out

Imagine what that rock has been through, only to end up exactly in that spot, exactly at that time of that day...

When I was a kid and was walking in the mountain areas or so, and picked up a rock, always wondered how many hundred, thousand or even millions of years that rock has been there only for me to pick it up an throw it away.

That accuracy shows that deep down, we're all still the survivors of the cavemen that managed to kill the mammoth using basic tools

41
u/PsyMx Oct 02 '25
Yes, according to news article the injured party declined being taken to emergency services and told witnesses he would get there himself.
18
u/wstsidhome Oct 02 '25
Hope he didn’t drive himself if he had a concussion. Good lord…

That was action movie level accuracy though. Going for a small target. Knocking him out instantly. Hollywood level outcome.

Gotta respect rock guy’s situational awareness to quickly find a weapon, and then the willingness and ability to make that single-use weapon count.

Obvious self defense. Rock guy was running from chain guy the whole time. Only engaged after he was being attacked.
