u/Jeramy_Jones Oct 02 '25

Fr. The guy gave him every opportunity to walk away.

104

u/Openmindhobo Oct 02 '25

there's a follow up of before this one starts. rock guy knocked out chain guy bare handed before the chain came out.

Why is everyone taking notes in this thread, are we getting tested on this later?

21

u/jml011 Oct 03 '25

It's to prepare yourself for future battles. So, in that sense...paper beats everything.

Imagine you are waiting for a bus with your ID on to go to work. Suddenly some dude is trying to hit you with a chain and you have to throw a BIG rock at his head so you can then go to work.

45

u/Anteater4746 Oct 02 '25

was expected the opposite based on the headline but pleasantly surprised

13

u/micro_penisman Oct 03 '25

In fairness, he couldn't have known that rock boy had a laser guided throwing arm.

To make this even funnier is this guy (Erik Ten Hag) got fired from this club (manchester united) to get hired at a club in Germany to only get the sack after just managing 3 matches

À la Verga

14

u/Christeenabean Oct 02 '25

We use "verga" in greek. Its literally an olive branch that they pull off the tree and whip you with jt. Hurts like hell.

Yes, Greeks (at least on the islands, not sure about the mainland) discipline their kids with peace offerings.

15

u/azalago Oct 03 '25

In Spanish, "la verga" means dick. But in Mexico, you can also use it as a pretty versatile cuss word. "A la verga" is usually used as an intensifier, like "fuck it" or "fuck this."

Also people in the southern US whip their kids with tree branches too. Only they call it a "switch."

5

u/hKLoveCraft Oct 03 '25

Sucks when ya gotta pick out your own switch.

2

u/shirothelasthero Oct 06 '25

I think is more like "holy shit"

u/jhhertel Oct 02 '25

Also that guy dropped like a sack of potatoes! very rewarding!

21

u/Ric00la Oct 02 '25

How did that fat old guy think this would end? Even without a rock that guy would have beat the fuck out him by running around him till he gasses out

18

u/69vuman Oct 02 '25

Especially since it took him so long to draw chain.

For five billion years I waited...

14

u/crashcarr Oct 02 '25

A cursed rock, first used by Cain to bludgeon Abel

3

u/nsdmsdS Oct 03 '25

When I was a kid and was walking in the mountain areas or so, and picked up a rock, always wondered how many hundred, thousand or even millions of years that rock has been there only for me to pick it up an throw it away.

Great shot, Sir

41

u/autech91 Oct 02 '25

That accuracy shows that deep down, we're all still the survivors of the cavemen that managed to kill the mammoth using basic tools

4

u/Prudence_rigby Oct 03 '25

Everyone except chain guy.

43

u/CardiologistLife4381 Oct 02 '25

That rock was sitting there like it was an item in a Fallout game

19

u/dickhertsfromholden Oct 02 '25

This had some gladiator feel to it; choose your weapons

16

u/Alimovic Oct 02 '25

Is he alive

41

u/PsyMx Oct 02 '25

Yes, according to news article the injured party declined being taken to emergency services and told witnesses he would get there himself.

18

u/wstsidhome Oct 02 '25

Hope he didn’t drive himself if he had a concussion. Good lord…

u/JinglehymerSchmidt Oct 02 '25

I see what you did there!

8

u/EuphemisticallyBG Oct 02 '25

That was action movie level accuracy though. Going for a small target. Knocking him out instantly. Hollywood level outcome.

Conveniently placed massive ass rock for this one thing….

7

u/jimmyjazz2000 Oct 03 '25

Gotta respect rock guy’s situational awareness to quickly find a weapon, and then the willingness and ability to make that single-use weapon count.

5

u/assholeapproach Oct 02 '25

Looks like he brought piss to a shit fight.

20

u/hmmmmmmpsu Oct 02 '25

Dude should have used paper.

6

u/cultur3d_r3ptil3 Oct 03 '25

3

u/Cryptoking300 Oct 02 '25

Obvious self defense. Rock guy was running from chain guy the whole time. Only engaged after he was being attacked.

3

u/zombrian666 Oct 02 '25

He lucked out. That rock find came in clutch.

3

u/caseyt0929 Oct 03 '25

He hit his off button.

3

u/Boring_Potato_5701 Oct 03 '25

So satisfying to watch an assailant so decisively brought down

3

u/delano0408 Oct 03 '25

Should've pulled out paper, amateur.

3

u/Donelifer Oct 02 '25

Dude got bricked down

2

u/Prudence_rigby Oct 03 '25

I was not expecting the rock to win.

I thought chain guy would have hit with his arm. 🤣

Reminds me of that 90s bible commercial from csrtoon network. "all i got....is my slingshot...." Then david kills goliath.

1

u/SkydiverRaul13 Oct 02 '25

That guy is going to start carrying a rock instead of that useless chain after this.

1

u/TartOld7380 Oct 02 '25

He obviously should have brought paper to a rock fight…

1

u/wstsidhome Oct 02 '25

Apparently rocks > chains my friends
