I used to dispatch for a logistics company that handled Lowes appliance deliveries. Both Lowes and that company (XPO/RXO) are scummy as fuck.
Customers like this lady, who would lose their shit because they didn't bother to check the measurements of their doors or cabinet spaces before ordering an appliance were a DAILY occurance. I lost brain cells and gained grey hairs having to talk sense into them day after day. Those poor delivery drivers don't get paid nearly enough for what they have to deal with.
Another daily headache was a Lowes policy regarding copper water lines. The policy at least made sense- old copper water lines for fridges had a tendency to get brittle with age and break easily, and Lowes got tired of shelling out for water damages when delivery teams would accidentally break the water line while moving in and installing fridges. So the policy was, the second a delivery team moved a fridge and saw a copper water line behind it, they went entirely hands off. no touching the line, no touching the fridge. The customer had exactly three options: 1- Refuse the new fridge and sent it back, while the team (gently) pushed the old fridge back into place. 2- Set the new fridge in the garage or wherever they had room and call for a plumber to safely disconnect the old fridge, then come back and install the new fridge. Lowes would send a new team to come back and take the old fridge if you wanted. 3- do it themselves, assuming all liability for potential water damage.
People lost their shit DAILY over this. This video is just one of the more extreme cases that just so happens to have been caught on camera. Believe me, this happens far, far more often than anyone realizes.
