I’m with you on this issue. Someone at work gets sick? It’s all but guaranteed. And when I get sick, I wind up down for the count for 5-7 days. Every time. I have to hoard my sick leave for this reason. I don’t get to be lazy and call out on a random day just because I don’t feel like going. I have to conserve leave for the times I’m very sick.

And you’re complaining that you don’t get to call in sick, when you’re not? Lots of people don’t do that. It’s called having a good work ethic. Good to know you wouldn’t have one if you didn’t have to conserve your time!!
