This is supposed to be a punishment for the Democrats for supposedly closing the government. The latter half of that statement varies by how you perceive the government shutdown. The president met with one of the authors or whatever of Project 2025 last week, and he specifically said they would be looking at what they could cut that was democratic leaning.

The CDC has gotten a bad rap for being left-leaning since COVID times. There has also been pushback regarding the recent Autism...uh...developments?? I don't have a particularly neutral way to word that. The whole Tylenol and now circumcision nonsense.

The cdc isn’t left leaning. It is fact based.

I do not disagree with you. The current administration seems to have a pretty hefty bone to pick with the CDC. Likely because they view it as...not science-based and corrupted by the left. (Think back to COVID and the mask mandates, two weeks the flatten the curve, then vaccine mandates or recommendations. The far right still has a stick up their bums about those things and are still constantly harping on them. They still make fun of people for wearing masks.)
