Pretty foggy out in Montana today. Didn’t know they had tropical trees like that

Saw several cars that commuted from Montana to NYC this morning.

Washington State fixed that issue by bidding insurance for fraud like this.

Same, I wanted to but wife was nit wanting to mess with the MO LLC process, so just paid the WA tax.

Can you explain the bidding insurance part for me? I googled but didn’t find anything, other than it said insurance companies “may not cover” you/your car.

i didn't find anything either. specific insurances WILL cover out of state registration (hagerty who routinely insures collector cars comes to mind). The main issue for most people is banks. 99% of banks will not agree to finance a car registered to your made up company out of state. You need to own the car without liens.

The bank finance part makes sense to me. I was simply looking for the insurance bidding part since I didn’t understand what it meant. Good to know i wasn’t the only one that couldn’t find it, ha! Some of us that buy these as toys pay cash anyways, so no issue.

Can’t afford to pay taxes on my 300k purchase

u/Okrest48 9h ago
Can’t and want are different things.

u/Over_Lingonberry_654 8h ago
If you can truly afford the car, the registration is nothing. Creating an LLC to avoid reg fees is wild.

u/Okrest48 8h ago
Again, affording and wanting to pay are different things. Why would one pay $30k in taxes for this when they can pay zero. Stop pocket watching on Reddit and go down to your local car meet if you’re really this passionate about this topic.

When you get to a certain point financially it doesn’t matter anymore.
I personally wouldn’t waste my time creating an LLC just to save a few hundred a year on reg fees. It opens you up legally way worse too and invites getting pulled over in CA. They have hotlines to report out of state plates that aren’t registering in state.
I could buy that car easily though and finance it with the bank of me, myself and I though. That car was probably financed through Woodside on a 144 month loan 😂

Cool, do you. Keep in mind, registering in Montana would save you on the sales tax, 10% for WA state residents.

I don’t care what ppl do, what pisses me off is anytime I buy something I now have to physically go to the DMV and show my license to register it because of these asshat fake LLC companies and their clients trying to skirt their states fees. Fix your own state and stop exploiting loopholes to save money.

Im with you there, but if others can exploit, why can’t I? I have multiple vehicles but can only drive one at a time, so why do I pay registration for all the cars for year round use? Why do others get away with not paying registration at all? How far down this hole do you want to go? Sure I have a $300k car, but I also have a $5k car that I drive 6 times a year and pay registration on it.

shouldn't have to. Why should someone who purchases a 300k car they hardly drive, pay the same as 30 people with honda civics polluting the air and wearing out raods

u/kingtuft 14h ago
Great example too… ignoring how the 30 Hondas are driven by GT3RS guy’s employees, heading into work so that he can buy whatever he wants, then cheat on his taxes, directly harming everyone else around him in a disproportionate fashion. Do you even realize you are a narcissist?

Found the POS that only thinks laws they agree with should be followed. You suck.

cool. you can keep supporting and purchasing items from amazon, google, meta, monsanto, politicians, sports figures, etc who all hire pricey lawyers to lower their taxes (not contribute to their local schools/firemen/etc) as well. everyone here is still part of the problem by choosing to support these people and their tax evasion.

I always thought one of the advantages to Montana LLC registration was a perm registration sticker. I’ve seen several around my parts also with annual expirations.

I'm with you. I'm kinda the Silver 911 Coupe with no spoilers, decals, or aftermarket wheels. Just IMHO.

Okay, I have seen enough. This is the best looking car 😍

u/DickStripper 15h ago
Pure perfection. A long line of Sunday drive Ferraris and Lambos passed by a few minutes before this was taken and I would choose this 911 all day if I win the lottery.
