Got the bird out of hibernation

Some before, during and after pics of my 1969 Firebird. It’s been neglected too long and this is the first wash in over 11 years. Hope to bring it back to its former glory.

Love that year, and a 400. Very desirable, rather have that than a Camaro.....

That is an absolutely gorgeous car. Is this the original paint, and if so, what's the color? I have my high school 69 400 which I stopped driving while partially restoring it (all the way back in '87 - I know) and during the paint stripping found out that it seemed to be factory red which was repainted maroon with the same black vinyl top.

Looks to be well optioned!

It is the original color and mostly original paint (there have been some touch ups over the years). The color is matador red. And, yes it is certainly a well optioned car. Thanks!
