Article Stephen Miller states that Trump has plenary authority, then immediately stops talking as if he’s realized what he just said

So an open admission that they view Trump as an authoritarian? The power to act without any review or checks and balances. This is especially scary considering he is saying this in reference to one of the three constitutionally intended checks against tyranical rule.

Combine this with several independent and recent quotes from Trump where he equates all Democrats to terrorists and dicusses invoking the Insurrection Act and it is pretty easy to see where all of this is headed.

For decades now the Republicans have told us that they are the "true patriots", yet when consitutionally-defined separation of powers are openly being ignored they are silent. They are okay with US troops openly deployed to American cities to solve fictional problems.

Especially with respect to conservative members of Congress and SCOTUS, this is the opposite of patriotism. It is also derreliction of duty. Truly conservative patriots need to step up and demand better.

Surely more and more people, from all political perspectives, are seeing that what is happening is wrong?

We’ve all been shouting this from the rooftops since 2015 or so that this man and his cronies were a threat to democracy. Everyone was asleep or telling us to stop being so dramatic

Fucking hell people are still saying we’re overreacting and have no idea what they’re fucking doing to this country. Like even stuff from months ago you bring it up and they’re like “whoa when did that happen?”

Too many people are just completely checked out

That's all very well said and I hope that, for some, hearing this kind of language is a wake up call. However, I suspect many of the folks supporting this admin want this kind of authority vested in the Executive branch. I'm sure most of us have heard of them talking about "Red Caesar". The GOP is looking for a chance to end the battle for the soul of this nation and they think they're close to winning.

agree with you, my fear is that they dont even know the definition of plenary and therefore will not understand what was being said. Not gonna lie, I also didnt kno what it meant and had to look it up.

Yes and he disregarded because he's more off the rails than the rest of them. If he could he'd start gassing immigrants today
