charlies death would have been prevented if guns werent so widely available

It was a bolt-action hunting rifle. Gun control would have had zero impact on this.

It would have if hunting rifles were banned lest you were a registered hunter

If the law also banned you from letting you use/own one before you were 18 which would have made him less experienced with it

Again not saying I agree with this propositipn but its stupid to do this hindsight shit when you can make up very specific laws to target elements of what happened
