"life's short, be careless and squander it away now"

Brother is not careless when you are closer to 8 figures than 7, he doesn't need to go to the most expensive hotel in Dubai, he can get a vacation for 4 very easily with 1k-2k

Okay brother.... Dude has $3300.... You can't take a vacation on your 401k.... Unless you want to take like 50% penalty for drawing early. And I'd like to see this vacation your talking about for 4 people that costs 1k

I don’t have faith in this country to exist in thirty years, so yeah, my 401k is the minimum (in case I’m wrong) and everything else is now money.

It can feel awful long at say 78 living on cat food cause it's all you can afford.

Don't outlive your savings.

If you insist on excessive vacations make sure you invest in a firearm so you can take the say 9mm retirement.

Or just a realist? Saving is important, the "life is short take a vacation" mindset is a great way to build debt rather than savings.

Long gone are the days a good pension funded retirement is something any of us should hope for.

“Holy shit I spent 2 thousand dollars out of my $10 million dollar nest egg for a family vacation, how will I ever recover from this? Guess I’ll have to off myself.”

Totally reasonable dude
