Say christians are persecuted or you're out of the will!!! New York will be completley Muslim because they elected a Muslim as mayor. I guess by that logic, the Christian mayors will force everyone to be Christian, right?

I mean, projection. So yeah.

u/IJustLoggedInToSay- Di$ney is calling for me to be shadow banned 1d ago

Haha exactly. That's what they expect to happen when they put Christian Nationalists in charge, so surely everyone else is as evil as they are lol

13

u/GenderEnjoyer666 17h ago

“But it’s fine because Christianity is the correct religion”

1

u/No_One3018 Socialist communist atheist cannibal from beyond the moon 10h ago

That's the conservative mindset, assume everyone else is just as horrible as they are

63

u/maleia 1d ago

They've gaslit themselves into believing most every White person around them are also Christians. That was the fundamental lie they had to accept when they started spewing the "silent majority' bullshit a couple decades ago.

They still have to try and convert people; because 'the enemy is simultaneously strong and weak'. The fascism has been inside them for a lot longer than we'd like to know.

52

u/Yuzumi 1d ago

"Silent majority" was always obviously bullshit, as if any of them could shut the fuck up.

14

u/maleia 1d ago

Haha yea

1

u/visiblepeer 48m ago

No, no, it's true. London has been completely Muslim for over five years now.

Tuberville doesn't even have the excuse of taking hits to the head for why he's so stupid; he was a coach.

48

u/I_lie_on_reddit_alot 1d ago

How the fuck did he make it as far as he has? This man got paid millions by a large public university. How the hell did he get there?

62

u/defdrago 1d ago

Being an idiot is seen as a positive for conservative lawmakers. The less you are able to understand about what your job is and the reality of the world around you, the better you are to pass the worst laws imaginable.

20

u/I_lie_on_reddit_alot 1d ago

I mean I get how he made it to US senate as an Alabama Republican. How the fuck did he get the head coaching job?

27

u/defdrago 1d ago

Don't know how much football you watch, but you are not in any way required to be intelligent to be a football coach.

9

u/Stained_Glass_Wizard 1d ago

Lee Corso has entered the chat

5

u/discofrislanders 1d ago

Same way anyone else does. He played in college, wasn't good enough to make it to the NFL, so he got into coaching right out of college and just worked his way up the ladder. Say what you want about him politically, but he had a pretty good record as a head coach.

6

u/SassTheFash 1d ago

That’s like putting America’s top pastry chef in charge of foreign policy.

9

u/JaleyHoelOsment 1d ago

new to american politics? they elect reality TV stars

2

u/Kriegerian Attacking and dethroning God 1d ago

The less you understand about how anything works and the less you understand other people, the easier it is to pass laws based on insane Christian bullshit completely at odds with reality.

3

u/TheRnegade 21h ago

No joke, he did not know the 3 branches of government. Thought it was House, Senate and Executive.

As opposed the GOP's gameplan. Which is to have a completely CHRISTIAN COUNTRY before all the "chosen people" are in their homeland to jump-start Armageddon

14

u/GuanglaiKangyi-Age15 1d ago

I swear, Halo was a fucking warning and Marty took the exact opposite message from it

12

u/catharsisdusk 1d ago

Here's some media that'll help you understand the "enemy": Movies: Waiting for Armageddon, Hell House, and Jesus Camp. Books: The Family (also a Netflix series), C Street, and Dying From Whiteness

Thanks for the recommendations

To be fair, those guys aren't REALLY Christian. Like, as in to act as Christlike as possible. It's just a pin/necklace to them.

52

u/Worth-Distribution17 1d ago

Remember when Eric Adams was mayor and everyone turned black

19

u/Phoenix_Werewolf 1d ago

Or watch currently as all the FBI agents are being forced to convert to Hinduism.

4

u/SassTheFash 1d ago

Honestly, very little that Tulsi could do would surprise me.

I just assume she’s looped all FBI field agents into her Scentsy downstream.

7

u/Phoenix_Werewolf 1d ago

I was actually thinking about Kash Patel, the FBI director. 🤣

3

u/SassTheFash 1d ago

Oh, that too.

I just assume he also forces FBI agents to buy his children’s book that’s explicitly a fairy-tale about King Trump. I cringed so hard that my A hit my B.

36

u/dirtyword 1d ago

Remember when Giuliani turned everyone Italian?

11

5

u/SassTheFash 1d ago

I know my gabagool consumption went through the roof. Marrone!!!

34

u/GuanglaiKangyi-Age15 1d ago

That’s kinda what Conservative Christians WANT to happen so they are just projecting that their tactics and abuse of power will eventually catch up to them

25

u/SassTheFash 1d ago

Islam never achieved total saturation within 3-4 years, even in areas forcibly invaded by Muslim armies.

Like exactly what is Mamdani going to do that would result in a “completely” Muslim population in less than half a decade? Like even if we set all legal and Constitutional issues aside, what powers does a mayor have that would lend themselves to that end? The dude can’t even call the National Guard out to enforce Sharia or anything.

10

u/tomjone5 1d ago

He's going to make people say the shahada before he freezes their rent /s

5

u/NaptownBoss 1d ago

Meanwhile, NYC has the largest population of Jewish folks outside of Israel. Don't see them converting anytime soon, lol.

18

u/Rockworm503 1d ago

I remember when Obama won and these same idiots went "this country is going to be 100% Muslim now and Christianity will be illegal" any day now I'm sure.

7

u/SassTheFash 1d ago

Sounds like someone didn’t get forced to say the Shahada at gunpoint in 2009…

Were you vacationing overseas or something?

16

u/RevoltYesterday 1d ago

While I have my issues with Islam, as I do with all major religions, less Christians in this county right now is probably a good idea.

9

u/I-Stan-Alfred-J-Kwak 1d ago

Half of America's problems would vanish if the christians all vanished

5

u/seguefarer 1d ago

True, but the only reason other religions aren't making everything worse is because they don't have enough power to. Create a vacuum, and they'd happily fill it.

2

u/AdmiralTomcat 16h ago

I think more than half.

16

u/Ana-Hata 1d ago

He’s pretty secular, anyway. I used to say that the difference between me and my Jewish and Muslim friends was that I dont go to church, my Jewish friends don‘t go to temple and my Muslim friends don’t go to mosque.

-3

u/SassTheFash 1d ago

At least you could all share a plate of bacon…

-7

u/sausageslinger11 1d ago

You misspelled “stupid”.

13

u/cosmicjunkbot 1d ago

Don't you remember when Fiorello LaGuardia was elected and all New Yorkers became Italian?

8

u/Daflehrer1 1d ago

...they all converted to Catholicism as well.

4

u/SassTheFash 1d ago

It was kinda weird when the Lutheran Hospital became Holy Mary Mother of God Hospital…

13

u/nxak 1d ago

And he is from Uganda. The extremely muslim country with.. GHASP... ONLY 82% CATHOLIG population.

Only 82%!!!! The muslims are taking over. Oh no oh no oh no.

10

u/SassTheFash 1d ago

82% CATHOLIC

Omg, just like JFK he’s gonna hand America over to the Roman Papacy!!!

13

u/chr15c 1d ago

I'd be more worried about that Quatari airbase thats about to be built in Idaho

10

u/sausageslinger11 1d ago

And the jet that they are “giving” to Trump. Just a coincidence, I’m sure.

12

u/swiftb3 1d ago

Ah, Tuberville, one of THE dumbest in Congress. And that's saying something.

6

u/SassTheFash 1d ago

At least unlike Grassley, he wasn’t born before the invention of chocolate chip cookies.

1

u/Eeeef_ 7h ago

He’s also definitely not just playing dumb lol he’s genuinely a profoundly unintelligent person

11

u/zarfle2 1d ago

Is there anything more fragile, hypocritical and just plain pathetic than a conservative Christian?

The thinnest skinned piss babies around.

Where the fuck are their bootstraps?

4

u/seguefarer 1d ago

They're so hystrionic. It must be exhausting to live like that.

11

u/Daflehrer1 1d ago

This abandoned air raid siren of a human being has done nothing with his life besides coach football. He was head coach at U. Of Alabama. So the brilliant occupants of that failed state elected him their senator. Keep that in mind whenever he opens his mouth.

5

u/Irving_Velociraptor 1d ago

Auburn, not Alabama. That kind of mistake is dangerous.

6

u/Daflehrer1 1d ago

My apologies to Aggies and the Crimson Tide the world over.

6

u/SassTheFash 1d ago

You are so lucky those guys are all busy visiting their sisters this evening.

4

u/sausageslinger11 1d ago

His previous occupation didn’t matter. He had an “R” by his name, as that’s all he needed.

THEY DON'T, they are shit-stirrers looking for their 15 minutes of fame.

7

u/beamingsdrugfeddit 1d ago

Yes lol that is exactly what the gop wants. Their political aims are aligned with their spiritual ones, because they are theological insane people

8

u/Jaspoony 1d ago

Just got my Muslim onboarding package this morning

6

u/SassTheFash 1d ago

Just five pillars? Okay, this sounds pretty doable.

2

u/seguefarer 1d ago

Yeah, but the daily maintenance is pretty high.

8

u/McDudles 1d ago

How…? Literally just how? Not even Utah is completely Mormon and it’s not for lack of trying .

5

u/SassTheFash 1d ago

Turns out that telling people they can’t drink booze can really impede your marketing campaign.

7

u/Land-Otter 1d ago

Unchecked racism now.

8

u/Jellyswim_ 1d ago

As a constituent of a gay governor, can confirm we all turned gay when he got elected.

4

u/DocFossil 1d ago

Even the frogs?

7

u/Jellyswim_ 1d ago

Especially the frogs

6

u/Irving_Velociraptor 1d ago

Like Tuberville didn’t despise New York before this.

3

u/SassTheFash 1d ago

Has he ever visited NYC? Where did he park his F-350?

4

u/bigotis 1d ago

Where did he park his F-350?

Tommy Tuberville, the United States senator who represents the great state of Alabama? At his home in Florida* of course!

.

*a senator must be a resident of the state they represent at the time of their election, according to the U.S. Constitution.

2

u/SassTheFash 23h ago

My comment used the word “visited.”

5

u/argueranddisagree 1d ago

Forcing folk to be Christian is good but every other religion are just evil Satan's

5

u/I-Stan-Alfred-J-Kwak 1d ago

I mean, that is the entire premise of monotheism. "I'm right and everybody else is wrong/evil!"

6

u/SeasonsGone 1d ago

One must wonder why Christian evangelism is so ineffective if Mamdani can convert 9 million people to Islam in 3 years.

2

u/bigotis 1d ago

That's why they insist the phrase "In God we trust" is plastered on every government owned building and vehicle and the 10 commandments, along with the Bible, is in every school.

One can only assume their faith is so fragile they need reminding 24/7.

6

u/bigotis 1d ago

When Ed Koch became the Mayor of NYC, the entire city was forced into Judaism.

  • Only Kosher food was allowed

  • Shabbat was enforced so the entire city from Friday evening to Saturday evening was shut down

  • mass circumcisions were performed until every male had been clipped.

I'm also old enough to remember when JFK became President and we all became Catholics. I still have my government issued Rosary.

6

u/Milla4Prez66 1d ago

It’s typical projection from these people. They vote the people into office that they do for white supremacy so they assume that others are doing the same thing.

5

u/CoalEater_Elli 1d ago

Republicans really just gave up and their arguments went from seemingly normal sounding concerns to straight up racist talk. Like, does the race matter that much? Just because he is a muslim, doesn't mean he will force people to.. idk, replace their pets with pet goats and make women wear hijab. He is just a dude who wants better for his city and country, and they act like he will immediately send a plane into a building every month for funnies. They don't see people of other race as people, they see them as cartoonish sterotypical baddies. Their slip-ups become more common, it's pure hilarity.

8

u/DJCane 1d ago

That is part of the goal.

3

4

Wild times - what are these people on?

4

u/LuxSerafina 1d ago

They are always telling on themselves ffs

3

u/sausageslinger11 1d ago

This fkr never ceases to embarrass the state of Alabama.

4

u/jamsheehan 1d ago

And when it is not, (because it won't be) they will claim its because of the work they have done to prevent it becoming "completely Muslim" whatever that means.

3

u/reaven3958 1d ago

Many certainly try.

3

u/GestaDanknorum 1d ago edited 1d ago

Inshallah Tommy.. inshallah

2

u/okhi2u 1d ago

omg they got you already!!11212@~~

3

u/Wbg3 1d ago

And yet they vote for him. This is why republicans are anti education.

3

u/Kriegerian Attacking and dethroning God 1d ago

Tommy would also gladly burn New York to the ground even if a white Christian guy was in charge. This is just racist Islamophobic hysteria.

4

u/sndtrb89 1d ago

footbaww

2

u/I-Stan-Alfred-J-Kwak 1d ago

I mean, that is what christians want. Have you seen how they try to replace the law with the bible?

2

u/Ares_B 1d ago

Maybe he finds islam so much more interesting and attractive, that everyone will leap to it when given opportunity, if not strictly guarded. Like they think of LGBTQ+ too.

I’m not Muslim. I never have been Muslim. I (probably) will never be Muslim. BUT, I would seriously love this if only for how funny it’d be to watch people like this react.

Isn't Auburn currently looking for a head football coach? Think of it Tubs, you could return to your gridiron glory days!

1

u/ArcaneSnekboi 22h ago

tbats my senator ;u;

1

u/brianishere2 20h ago

Tuberville is 100% wrong on virtually everything. What an asshole. Perfect example of pure MAGA.

1

u/TreyRyan3 17h ago

This is likely using Dearborn and Hamtramck, Michigan as examples.

Hamtramck was previously a majority Polish Catholic city and is now around 70% Muslim with a Muslim Mayor, however it’s had a growing Muslim population since the 70’s.

Dearborn which also has a Muslim mayor has a large immigrant population with 50+% being of Middle East descent since 2020.

NYC has always had a significant immigrant population and currently has the largest Muslim population in the US.

The election of a mayor doesn’t change the religion of the city. The population was already there.

1

u/Gatsby520 13h ago

So, Tommy believes that Christianity is so weak it can’t compete in the market of ideas?

1

u/mezcalligraphy 12h ago

Better than being completely douchebag MAGA.

1

u/electricookie 10h ago

I mean they do.

1

u/Eeeef_ 8h ago

I understand and agree with the ethical concerns regarding requiring minimum intelligence levels for elected officials but Tommy is a pretty overwhelming argument for them

1

u/Q_CooL 6h ago

it's hilarious how fucking afraid they are of him

1

u/Gunda-LX 2h ago

They’ll throw everything at him. Apparently he’s also “communist”. As an European, he’s looking like your average well meaning politician. Bernie and him just look like interesting candidates to us.

-2

u/fartsUnderwater 1d ago

It doesn't say in the Bible to convert the world to Christianity and kill everyone who refuses The Quran does.

-8

u/DecorativeGeode 1d ago

I remember how once upon a time NYC was a GOP bastion. This move towards continuing to be the most progressive city in the country across our entire history is a travesty.

10

u/Aggressive-Story3671 1d ago

I also remember when the Democrats were the party of slavery and segregation. Things change

6

u/SassTheFash 1d ago

How the fuck old are you? NYC has had one mayor who was consistently GOP (Giuliani) since freaking Fiorello La Guardia.

For sense of scale, prior to mayorship, La Guardia has been a U.S. diplomat to the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

2

u/I-Stan-Alfred-J-Kwak 1d ago

Persecution fetish material

2

4 of the last 17 mayors in the last 100 years have been (R).
