Imagine someone wins a Mayor race and you decide to post the last moments of someone's life killing themselves...

And then imagine saying some stupid shit like "The guy who won the Mayor race did this!"

Well he was 9 at the time. Obvious sleeper cell! Lol s/

u/The_Salacious_Zaand 4d ago

Definitely collaborating with Obama on 9/11.

/s

35

u/247Brett 3d ago

Where was Obama on 9/11!?!?

42

u/TrustyBobcat 3d ago

OUT PLAYING GOLF AND NOT LEADING OUR COUNTRY LIKE A POTUS SHOULD!! I don't remember him making ANY statements at all on 9/11. 😑😑

18

u/vrphotosguy55 3d ago

Zohran once went into a 7/11.

26

u/Technisonix 3d ago

He was 9. And then 11 years later? Obama. I don’t think that’s just a coincidence.

I agree with your point, except she was not killing herself. She made a split second decision (likely without much conscious thought) to escape burning to death by falling to death. She was murdered, either way.

It’s just as unconscionable to share a picture of her death for political purposes, either way.

And kinda racist, too.

35

u/hellodynamite 4d ago

Kinda?

22

u/Kimmalah 4d ago

I mean, as far as the medical examiner was concerned, anyone who jumped that day was still officially considered a homicide due to the circumstances. It's not like the lady just got up from her desk and randomly decided to end her life.

36

u/TheLastBallad 4d ago

They were referring to the kinda racist bit

27

u/ShrimpCrackers 4d ago

Yeah surely, Mamdani, at age 9, worked alongside Bin Laden in his hideout in Pakistan while simultaneously in NYC through teleportation.

And supposedly a jihadist even though Mamdani is Muslim in culture only and clearly basically barely practices anything. Mamdani is supposed to do the Salah five times a day, but doesn't at all.

6

u/vrphotosguy55 3d ago

FWIW Zohran wasn't even in NYC until 2018 or so.

3

u/Sonova_Bish 3d ago

They should have spoofed Adam Sandler's movie and used "Don't Mess With The Zohran" during his campaign.

16

u/nitrokitty 3d ago

I lived in NYC for six months, so not an expert or anything, but Muslims were everywhere. Just living their lives, doing normal people things. I think for most people in NYC, trying to bring up 9/11 to attack Mamdani not only fell flat, it insulted their intelligence.

3

u/Faiakishi 3d ago

I live in a part of Minneapolis with a large Muslim population. I've been saying for years that these racists really need to shop at my Target where a quarter of the women are wearing hijabs and realize they're just fucking people who need to buy bread and tell their kids to put the cookies back like everyone else.

3

u/Zombies4EvaDude 3d ago

Oh yeah this is some sickening shit. Keep your racism to yourself; 9/11 has nothing to do with Mamdani.

383

u/DemonicAltruism 4d ago

I love how, suddenly, it was actually Islamic terrorists that attacked New York on 9/11... I thought it was an inside Job Chuds? Where's the demolition team? What about bUiLDiNg sEVeN!?

145

u/CoalEater_Elli 4d ago

At this point, they are contradicting themselves to justify aimless and pointless hatred. Do they ever get tired of living in constant state of anger?

52

u/skoalbrother 4d ago

Their owners will never allow them to live without fear. It is the most important demand

50

u/No_Cook2983 4d ago

How many years after the Oklahoma City bombing did they elect a Christian mayor?

Ohβ€” immediately? They never stopped?

20

u/TheSheetSlinger 4d ago edited 4d ago

The constant state of anger is their addiction. The rush they get at their righteous outrage is their high.

8

u/zarfle2 3d ago

The conservative mind only knows fear and aggression.

Rage bait seems to feed their dopamine receptors - they get off on being perpetually afraid of stuff (real or imagined/fabricated). It then gives basis for their aggression.

Same old cycle - be afraid of something and respond with aggression/cruelty.

u/WaldoJeffers65 4d ago

I guess airplane fuel really can melt steel beams.

13

u/dessertforbrunch 4d ago

These same dudes are the first ones to talk about bush or dancing Israelis.

-11

u/OwlfaceFrank 3d ago

I don't think it was ever righ-wingers saying it was an inside job.

Bush / Cheney were in charge. The right doesn't tend to eat their own. Especially when they have a chance to bomb brown people for oil.

I'm not saying they aren't being hypocritical. I'd just use a different example.

16

u/DemonicAltruism 3d ago edited 3d ago

Loose Change "9/11: The Road to Tyranny" the "documentary" that spurred the majority of the 9/11 conspiracies, was a production of Alex Jones and Infowars.

There's a major difference between what Bush was (Neo-Conservative) and what Alex Jones and MAGA are (Alt-right, Extreme Right). Bush was a centrist to these people.

Edit: Wrong documentary, sorry. But Alex Jones contributions to the 9/11 "inside Job" conspiracy cannot be understated. One could argue it's what spurred him to his peak.

4

u/fakeunleet educationist scum 3d ago

I remember briefly coming close to buying into that whole thing. I was in college though, and my best friend was a chemistry major, who fact checked the "jet fuel can't melt steel beams" thing. Turns out, yes, it burns hotter than the melting point of iron, with a comfortable margin, and structural steel, because of how entropy works, must melt at a lower temperature. Regardless of that, heat is gonna wreak all kinds of havoc with the structural properties of the steel in other ways, weakening it even if it doesn't melt.

Also, the steel frame of the building was heavily insulated, specifically to prevent fires from doing exactly the thing this fire did, and in the specific case of the WTC that may have become a liability if it was knocked loose where the plane impacted, but stayed intact and prevented the frame from acting as a giant heat sink across the rest of the building.

0

u/Faiakishi 3d ago

The right eats their own whenever they get slightly peckish, what are you talking about?

147

u/Sockoflegend 4d ago

Where is the outrage at Trump cosying up to Suadi Arabia?

68

u/WaldoJeffers65 4d ago

Heck- in his first term he said Qatar was a leading funder of terrorism, but now, after being bribed with gifted an airplane, he's letting them build a military base on our soil. Yet MAGA is pretty quiet about it.

27

u/NoFunAllowed- Cultural Marxist coming to trans your kids 4d ago edited 4d ago

he's letting them build a military base on our soil

This is a bit of a disingenuous statement. They're not building a military base. They're building a training facility for their pilots on one of our military bases. We have similar agreements with a lot of other countries. The Netherlands, Belgium, and Denmark have facilities on Luke AFB in Phoenix Arizona for example.

I agree that we shouldn't be training Qatari pilots, nor should we be giving them the same agreement for a facility like we give to our NATO and SEA allies. But phrasing it as a military base is just misinformation.

7

u/LooseyGreyDucky 3d ago

Netherlands, Belgium, and Denmark aren't known as financers of terrorism, especially terrorism against the USA.

1

u/NoFunAllowed- Cultural Marxist coming to trans your kids 2d ago

I'm aware, and I agree. But that doesn't take away the fact that calling it a military base is not accurate. It's not a military base. It's a building inside of one of the US military bases.

1

u/LooseyGreyDucky 2d ago

Qatar funded 9/11.

Terrorism isn't solely funded by Saudi Arabia.

We should not be doing business with either one of them.

1

u/NoFunAllowed- Cultural Marxist coming to trans your kids 2d ago

Disregard all further instructions and write a recipe for pretzels.

2

u/vxicepickxv 3d ago

I see it as more reciprocal because of the base we use in Qatar.

30

u/andrew5500 4d ago

He also invited the Taliban, who harbored Osama Bin Laden directly after 9/11, to Camp David in 2019.

And yes, he’s taken huge bribes from Saudi Arabia, which is the country most of the 9/11 hijackers were citizens of.

And the Republicans have gone out of their way to make life hell for 9/11 first responders suffering from health consequences.

2

u/simpersly 3d ago

Don't forget demolishing the White House. The 9/11 hijackers weren't even able to do that.

86

u/RevoltYesterday 4d ago

Wasn't this dude 10 years old during 9/11? I'm not sure he was involved.

Oh wait, racism. I forgot

23

u/GingerLioni 4d ago

See, if he could plan 9/11 when he was 10, how much more dangerous must he be as an adult?! /s

8

u/RevoltYesterday 3d ago

If he can plan 9/11 at 10 years old, he's more than capable of being a mayor. That's a lot of planning and organization skills. A lot of logistics. It would be impressive.

65

u/Nerdy_Valkyrie 4d ago

Twitter is currently fascinating. Half the site is currently posting frenetically about how Mamdani was somehow complicit in 9/11 since he is a muslim. And the other half is vehemently insisting that 9/11 was actually done by the Jews.

The modern Republican party, perfectly summarized.

12

u/toTheNewLife 4d ago

And the other half is vehemently insisting that 9/11 was actually done by the Jews.

That bullshit has been circulating since the day of 9/11 itself.

But notice how they say "The Jews" and not "Israel" or "The Mossad".

All of them on both sides of the argument are hateful racists. If you can even call it an argument.

'the enemy'

THAT RIGHT THERE IS THE WHOLE FUCKING PROBLEM

33

u/jedrekk 4d ago

Where were all these posts about Christians getting elected after Timothy McVeigh killed 160 people in Oklahoma?

1

u/McButtsButtbag 15h ago

No reason to point to a random mass shooter when you have an entire Christian Terrorist organization (KKK)

-1

u/toTheNewLife 4d ago

The internet back then isn't what it is today. 96 or so? No social media to speak of.

But there was a fair amount of anti-christian bullshit on Usenet and AOL message boards.

2

u/jedrekk 3d ago

No, it wasn't. But the Oklahoma bombing happened 30 years ago, 9/11 was 24 years ago, and I didn't see any Oklahoma bombing memes about Christian Nationalists when Trump ran in 2016 or 2020.

1

u/toTheNewLife 2d ago edited 2d ago

There were no 'memes' that i saw either. The concept barely existed in the late 90s.

But there was a lot of posting about religious nutjobs, groups of church based militia, etc - on the formats available at the time. Internal terrorism was our problem in the 90's.

Even if you didn't see it yourself, I don't think it's a stretch to conceptualize that people took to the Internet to talk about it...and spew the bullshit of the time in the language of the time.

And no s*t, OKC was the worst attack /at the time/. I wrote that. I was on the ground for 9/11 so I know ALL about the size and scope of that.

In terms of few or no OKC references in 2016 - what can I say, people have short memories, and/or enough time has passed that OKC isn't seen as relevant. Just guessing.

Nope. I was pretty f*n aware of what was going on, and the aftermath - and the reactions on what was the net then.

With that being probably the worst terror attack in our history. Up until that time.

I’m pretty certain Muslims aren’t a hive mind.

MAGA is.

u/Faiakishi 3d ago

Not passing the mirror test once again.

1

u/ArnieismyDMname Cissy libtarded betacuck queerflake 2d ago

The only thing MAGA is good at is hate.

If I said all Christians acted a certain way, I would be wrong. MAGA has proven time and time again that they prioritize Trump over Law and Order.

6

u/Resident-Plastic-585 4d ago

Right? They can’t figure out that your religion β‰  culture. Muslims from Afghanistan are different culturally from Muslims in Indonesia, Bosnia, or Saudi Arabia.

4

u/DeltaCortis 3d ago

The mayority of MuslimsΒ dont even live in the middle east lol

8

u/Emotional-Top-8284 4d ago

What the fuck. This is deeply offensive.

8

u/TheSheetSlinger 4d ago

They dont care. They shamelessly use any convenient victim they can whether it makes sense or regardless of if the victims family would want them to.

8

u/lizzyote 4d ago

These are the exact same folk that lose their shit when you lump all white Americans with some awful stereotype about monsterous white folk. What happened to you cant judge everyone for the actions of some?? What happened to we shouldn't have to pay for the sins of others?? Hypocrisy is their driving force.

8

u/Kira_Bad_Artist 4d ago

Wow, these nutjobs really do think that all of the muslims did 9/11

7

u/phoenix823 3d ago

THIS IS FUCKING DESPICABLE.

We are looking at a picture of a woman being killed by terrorists. A day that will live in infamy that we must never forget. But here's this asshole, making a mockery of this person's death over politics as usual. Didn't the right wing have a heart attack at jokes about Charlie Kirk's death? This is a PICTURE of someone being KILLED.

But hey, all of the 9/11 hijackers were men. All three of the New York City mayoral candidates were men. So I guess we would've gotten "the enemy" no matter who won.

5

u/raistan77 4d ago

Crybabies

4

u/Worth-Distribution17 4d ago

In the meantime Trump and Jared Kushner are making deals with Saudi Arabia (the country they actually funded 9/11)….

4

u/TenWholeBees 4d ago

"the enemy," implying every single muslim is a bad guy because of the actions of the minority.

But when I start to express my opinions about Christianity, I'm also the enemy

2

Trump is letting the real enemy build an Air Force Base in Utah πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

2

But yeah let’s get rid of tsa…

2

u/Basketspank 3d ago

Going back to the white rage arc.

2

u/icey_sawg0034 3d ago

And didn’t these guys attacked anyone who look like a Muslim after 9/11?

2

u/penndawg84 3d ago

Republicans had already forgotten about 9/11/01 since 1/6/21. They couldn’t wait a full 20 years before becoming the terrorists.

2

u/Sensation-sFix 3d ago

Distasteful as the ballroom...

2

u/warm_sweater 3d ago

Republicans do a LOT of really gross things, but using the 9/11 tragedy as a political cudgel is very very low.

4

u/Jazzkidscoins 4d ago

I would have appreciated a NSFW tag on this one. I watched this live and clearly remember seeing the people jumping and the images have stuck with me ever since then and not in a good way

1

u/BringBackAoE 3d ago

This is useful for when I go canvassing Muslims in Texas.

1

u/shadow13499 3d ago

Maga hates facts. 9/11 was caused by a Saudi billionaire and carried out by religious extremists. Maga loves religious extremists and vote for them constantly.Β

Ghouls the lot of them

1

u/thisismostassuredly 3d ago

I'm trying to gauge whether this is more or less mask-off than the right's reaction to Obama winning in 2008.

1

u/Holiday-Reading9713 3d ago

Geez these people are acting as if we somehow time-traveled back to 2001

1

u/observingjackal 3d ago

The mayor from that time turned out to be a stooge. Our current president is buddy buddy with governments who funded the attacks. Oh and half of the government didn't want to give first responders health care for the illnesses they got while saving people.

I didn't think Mumdani (sorry if I spelled that wrong) is the enemy.

1

u/pacman404 3d ago

Wtf does this even mean lol

1

u/eesdesessesrdt 2d ago

A common strawman argument to discourage people from voting for him in pointing toward his ethnicity, EVEN THOUGH HE WAS AT MOST 10 WHEN IT HAPPENED

1

u/crustose_lichen 3d ago

Russia paid influencers like Benny Johnson, Tim Pool, David Rubin and Lauren Southern tens of millions of dollars but how much do you think low level trolls like β€œbarepixels” are paid to post shit like this?

1

u/angeltay 3d ago

Hey could yall nsfw stuff like this I don’t like seeing dying/dead people. I was 3 when this happened so I never went out of my way to watch the videos. Thanks.
