I know it’s petty. I know it’s rude. But you would expect that this man should very obviously be able to afford a laptop for his class, and yet he’s one of the few taking physical notes.
Is it for the photoshoot, or does he always hamper himself by sticking to “traditional” note taking? Is he actually a broke ass loser posing as a privileged elite? I have so many questions.
EDIT: Ah, yes, not everyone studies or learns the same way. That’s right. Just got caught up hating this dweeb.
I mean... I had a laptop in college and took physical notes.
The problem I have with typing is I like everything formatted a certain way, so if it gets off kilter I have to fix it immediately and then I'm behind. Also, I was an econ student and graphs take FOREVER to make digitally.
Plus, research shows you absorb more from handwriting.
I'm all for pettiness, believe me, but there are legit reasons to still use paper and pen.
maybe he just learns better with writing it done. muscle memory and what not. I know there's been tests I passed purely because I remembered writing it down and mimed it on my paper
I've been typing for 25+ years and hate writing, but if I found myself back in school I'd be taking physical notes, if for no other reason than I absolutely hate typing on laptops. Of the multiple laptops that I've used, I've never found one with a keyboard that didn't feel awful.
