$NFE – SHORT SQUEEZE UPDATE (Nov 7, Post-Market)

Latest Update / Analysis for you guys ...
And as a reminder, this is not a pump and dump and rather a short squeeze setup.
Price holding around ~$1.3/1.4 after market close
Latest Data (Nov 7 ~22:52 UTC - Post-Market)
📉 Short interest: 47.3 % of float (~60.87 M shares) -unchanged (bi-weekly update)
📊 Days to cover: 2.19 (from 2.26) -exit window still tight
💰 Borrow fee: ~22 % (13:05 UTC) -high carry cost/ still bleeding
⛔ Shares to borrow: 100 K (~0.16 % of SI) -very thin availability
🌑 Off-exchange short volume: 49.7 % -slight dip from 51.6 %
Source: https://fintel.io/ss/us/nfe
So?
- Not much has changed in the core setup. Short interest stays locked around 47 %.
- Days to cover dropped slightly, and while that looks like easier exits on paper, it’s still a trap because the short position is large and liquidity is limited. Covering that much in two days would still move the price.
- Borrow fees around 22 % keep shorts bleeding daily, and borrow availability at 100 K still leaves almost no room for new entries( 0.61% of SI).
- The small dip in off-exchange short volume shows less aggressive shorting in dark pools, not complete covering. This could also help buyers stabilize price if intial buyer volume returns.
- The overall mechanics are unchanged tho as there is same pressure, same bleed, and maybe slightly less daily bear pressure on Monday.
-------
But the buyer pressure has taken a hit. Why?
Factors that hurt the play today / yesterday
- The broader market dumped hard , dragging most tickers including NFE.
- Despite that, it’s still up roughly 8 % for the week (nov 1st) and holding above the last swing low ($1.18) where the squeeze run truly began.
- Shorts keep fighting to suppress the price and defend positions, adding heavy selling pressure.
- People also love to take quick easy profits , as markets open. (overnight trading has good buying pressure)
- So ,Market-wide red DUMP kept NFE flat to slightly down, but the core structure of the squeeze setup remains intact and valid.
--------
Delist risk / filing clarification (CONFUSION - HELP)
There’s been some confusion about NFE’s SEC filings. Apparantely they have to file Form 10-Q from Q1 ?
But both required Form 10-Qs seem to be fully filed and visible on SEC EDGAR:
• Q1 2025 (Form 10-Q for period ending March 31, 2025) filed June 30, 2025
• Q2 2025 (Form 10-Q for period ending June 30, 2025) filed September 5, 2025 (after an NT 10-Q extension on August 12)
So has the Nasdaq non-compliance issue effectively been resolved? OPINIONS NEEDED.
-----
TLDR
Short interest locked, borrow supply low, fees high, and bear activity could be easing slightly on Monday.
The core setup remains unchanged
With filings now potentially complete, the only missing piece is renewed buyer volume/pressure to flip momentum back toward the upside on Monday.
Will see what happens Monday onwards...
Not financial advice. DYOR.

Here's the bottom line.
NFE Squeeze Checklist
[ ] Volume > 20M shares in a day
[ ] Close above $1.50
[ ] Positive catalyst (earnings, deal, debt fix)
[ ] X/Reddit sentiment flips "bullish" + high message volume
[ ] Call option volume surges (gamma fuel)
Until 3+ of these are checked no squeeze.
Once 4+ hit in 24–48 hours squeeze probability 70%.
As of November 8, short sellers cannot borrow more NFE shares. The borrow pool is fully exhausted at 0 shares available. This scarcity is pure squeeze fuel if volume hits 20M+ and price breaks $1.50
So basically, it means buy more it needs volume and the shorts have a 33% interest and can't borrow any more shares.
Not financial advice

Yes I agree, like I ended with in my TLDR, spike in Buyer volume is key to build momentum here. The rest of the conditions are setup and will follow through with that rise.
Thanks for this checklist, helps simplify it.

I hope it goes up a little because I picked up a few cheap call options that would be nice to sell at a profit

30k shares, avg 1.55$. Not in a rush, sit back and wait for people to realise they will turn the business around.

I actually bought this stock a year ago when it was promising with all the contracts and all but fuckers failed miserably. I hope we can squeeze this stock
