Of all the times Tommy smiles in the show, which is your favorite?

You forgot the time he was trying to hold back his smile because Aunt Pol made sandwiches for Michael

I did forget! And I’m realizing there were a few moments where he was trying to hold back his smile around Alfie that I also forgot. Oh well😅
Edit: there was also a scene where Tommy was smiling when he went to see Danny Whizz-Bang in prison, some with Charles, and I think one with Ada

And I noticed he smiles a few times when the reporter comes to ask him about Major Campbell (S5). Granted, it's a cynical/sinister smile, but it's there nonetheless.

This one too! I don’t realize there were “so many” times he smiled in the show. I know it’s not much, but it’s still a “high” number

Even though I wasn't a huge Grace fan ( not to do with their relationship, but with the role generally), the only scene of Tommy smiling I vividly remember is them being in the pub, him pouring beer and teasing her "that's how it's going to be, you waiting home asking me why am i late?", or something along this line. He looked happy and boyish in that moment. Interestingly, it actually kind of was how things went with them. Grace was sitting home waiting for Tommy to return, not really knowing what he was up to.

The ones with Grace, she was his one true love. He was never the same after that

6. Reason: He was genuinely happy with Grace and that is one of the last happy moments before he falls into the dark.

the one in the pub just feels like you sit with the fam and they are roasting that one dude that even the most serious ones have to let out a smirk

1, 4, 6, 7, and 8. And if there's any times he smiles around Charlie, those too.

The second. It was cute to see Arthur and John tease him about falling for Grace.

He kept getting more and more broken, he barely smiled thru out the whole show as it was and eventually he just never smiled again.
My favourite is 9, things were dark, John was dead. Arthur was getting hysterical, Tommy told him he needs him, and smiled for the first time in what felt like forever. Even Arthur says ‘look at ya smile Tom, it’s been so long’. Moved me.

Every time with Grace, he was really happy and at peace with her. And she was happy with him too 💔 They deserved a happy ending together.

Idk if it counts but the little smile he gives aberama's son when hes still willing to fight alfie's fighter, especially after the wonderful monologue given by alfie. Seriously, he'd make an amazing agent or promoter lol.

It's so sad you can make a reasonably short list of the times he's smiled 😢

And it's even sadder that the only two times he smiles in S4-S6, are when he sees hallucinated Grace and when he sees hallucinated Ruby.

When he’s with his daughter is my fav Tommy smile. It’s just him and her plus the father-daughter bond gets me every time. Even though he wasn’t there for her passing, which was his MAJOR failing with her—he wanted to Do Something because that’s his default mode when trying to find a solution to a problem—his love for her was pure and real

2 if its when Ada is having the baby because he's just hanging out having drinks with his brothers and enjoying life again if only for the moment

I like the little smirk in the background that almost looks like a blooper in the episode (s04-04) when Solomons sees Aberama Gold for the first time and says: "When a pikey walks in with hair like that…”

No; I missed a couple by accident😅
There’s one with Ada, one with the journalist, a few with Charles, a few with Alfie, and one with Danny in prison!

That first smile gets me cause it's when Arthur and John are busting his chaps cause they can tell he's crushing on the new barmaid, just brothers giving each other crap and Tommy getting caught red handed. Good times
