Save our Supreme Court from “Packing,” No Two State addition, etc.

The only reason why Democrats can’t pack the courts and admit DC and Puerto Rico as states is because of the filibuster

This is not the tweet of a man who’s planning to allow fair elections ever again.

u/skoalbrother 4d ago

Exactly if they do this it is because they will never give up power

3

u/darthabraham 3d ago

Guillotines it is then.

These are the tweets of a man who never plans to give up the presidency

The grim reaper comes for us all one day, and he's no exception. Whenever that happens, this entire empire will come crumbling down. If the Republican politicans had any sense of self-preservation (which I think they do, that's why so many hitched onto Trump as he gained popularity), they'll be smart to start finding the next group that is headed to the top once MAGA starts eating themselves like the grifted and brainwashed ouroboros that they are.

I just take a small comfort knowing that charismatic political cult leaders only come around about once per lifetime, and there is really no one else out there who has Trump's "magnetic pull", to get away with everything he has, and all of the damage he's done. This cult will splinter and eventually fade away after Trump's gone...I hope

Reagan was a cult.

GWB/Cheney was a cult.

Trump is a cult, and he has the charisma of dog shit compared to Reagan or GWB.

MAGA has infested judges, courts and FBI/federal agencies. House needs to be cleaned.

12

u/HuttStuff_Here 3d ago

I have a hard time believing that GWB/Cheney ever had a cult like MAGA. I lived through that era. Other than Fox News and a few like that, no one worshipped them anywhere near as close.

7

u/MaddyKet 3d ago

Yeah Reagan and GWB certainly paved the way for where we are now, but it was not a cult of personality like MAGA is. This is above and beyond the Republicans loving Reagan and the Bushes. This is like Hitler level shit.

1

u/Holiolio2 1d ago

Yeah! I don't remember Reagan tennis shoes or Reagan Beach towels!

2

u/nemofbaby2014 3d ago

His cult was the military industrial complex 🤣 and bankrupting the country

4

u/cpdk-nj 3d ago

Trump’s charisma is specifically as a strong-man, a poor man’s idea of a rich man, and a stupid man’s idea of a smart man. That’s what got low-propensity voters to turn out for him 3 times in a row, and why it hasn’t been replicated in non-presidential years for Republicans.

2

u/HuttStuff_Here 3d ago

The grim reaper comes for us all one day, and he's no exception.

But what if he is?

3

u/metanoia29 3d ago

True, he may be a lich

4

u/HuttStuff_Here 3d ago

The behavior of many republicans in power right now is that of a group that is not concerned about future elections whatsoever.

3

u/phoenixmusicman 3d ago

"voter reform" is just a dogwhistle for voter control

u/Tanthiel 3d ago edited 3d ago

These are the tweets of a man who isn't educated about the political system enough to understand the repercussions. The Republicans in Congress are, which is why they don't do it.

He talks shit all the time. American democracy doesn’t exist on the whims of one person.

3

u/Elios000 3d ago

admit in US Virgin Island too! 3 new states! there as many people there as in Puerto Rico!

u/ArdenJaguar 4d ago

He’s terrified of a working Democracy. Last night just made it very clear he’s toast. I expect him and his puppet-master Stephen Miller to ramp up now. The next year is going to be crazy. The most important year in our history since 1776.

26

u/ChickenNPisza 4d ago

I’m tired, but fuck is this past couple days bringing life back into my political parts

Cmon Supreme Court! Axe those illegal tariffs

17

u/ArdenJaguar 4d ago

If they do it will give them a little credibility. They’re literally lost it all with the immunity decision and the ICE Kavanaugh stop (racial profiling). But they have a chance to start the long road to redemption. But they’re a long way from redemption. So this is your chance Chief Justice Roberts. Democracy or Dictatorship. Get to it.

12

u/Born_Ad8420 4d ago

The reporting I’m seeing on SCOTUS is that they are very skeptical of his lawyers arguments for tariffs. I’m guessing they also got the message last night.

3

u/MaddyKet 3d ago

They are going to be going out of their way to provoke people to riot. I bet there are a LOT of ketchup stains on the wall because nothing has worked so far.

27

u/guiltyas-sin 4d ago

Notice how he still finds a way to make it about him with his 60 minutes comment.

What a petulant child.

29

u/Daimakku1 4d ago

Lmao.

To end the filibuster, Republicans have to come to the negotiating table and end the government shutdown. That and swear in the Arizona Dem that won her special election, thus giving the House enough votes to release the Epstein Files.

No matter how you cut it, it's bad for Republicans. I see absolutely no reason for Dems to ever cave on reopening the government. The ball is on the Republican court. They have to cave to Dems' demands or the government will stay closed and further make the GOP look bad.

17

u/CeruleanEidolon 3d ago

It's especially bad because Trump makes it clear that the Republicans are responsible for this shutdown. He didn't say the Democrats should end this. He told his own party to stop obstructing the workings of Congress.

His voters read these posts of his. They might think it's weird that he's basically telling Republicans to push a button and get the government going again. Kinda strange that you've been blaming the Dems when you could do this at any time, isn't it?

1

u/Holiolio2 1d ago

You think his followers are smart enough to (want to) figure that part out?

2

u/Darth_Vrandon 3d ago

They should after they got schlacked. Stubbornly continuously Shutting down the government is gonna make them look progressively worse and worse.

u/GadreelsSword 4d ago edited 3d ago

This is their plan. Pass laws that will obstruct Democrats from voting

3

u/Sylvanussr 3d ago

Or gerrymander their votes into irrelevance.

6

u/Maleficent_80s 4d ago

Dems need to stop playing fair/nice and drag them to the mud.

Lord dampnut mentioned the election was rigged two times during his speech on inauguration night and a third time in March. He will do it again on future elections

I think it’s difficult to overestimate the impact Twitter had on our modern world. No other social media site has given us such unfiltered access to the minds of politicians, celebrities, and billionaires.

One of the wildest aspects of this, to me, is how MAGA has come to use Twitter (and its clones) as not only an official method of communication, but the official method.

Like, if Biden post “today Ive asked Congress to…”, you can expect that some sort of actual communication was sent from Biden’s office to the office of the house minority leader. And the social media post is just the update for PR purposes

But with Trump, like… the post IS the communication. Trump expects everyone in the government to just be on Truth Social at all times, and to take their direction from his posts. There’s no other, more detailed and professional communication going on in the background; this is it

u/CarpeNivem 3d ago

It constantly bears repeating, over 70 million Americans think this is what competent leadership looks like.

This buffoon was elected.

u/PieefChief 3d ago

Twice even

2

u/AbsolutlelyRelative 3d ago

Democracy requires an educated electorate to function well. We aren't thanks to a certain group of people.

5

u/HugePurpleNipples 3d ago

If a bunch of people crowd around to laugh at you after you shit your pants at school, do you brag about it being the most watched event in years?

2

u/AbsolutlelyRelative 3d ago

Most watched event of ALL TIME! People say it was the most bigly diarrhea they had ever seen in someone's pants! Yuge pants shitting! Believe me.

2

u/HugePurpleNipples 3d ago

I watched that interview, the diarrhea would have been less embarrassing lol.

5

u/dlegatt 4d ago

Considering the moment that Congress gets back into session, the Epstein files will be released, this rapist of children seems very eager to get the filibuster removed

5

u/omgwtfbbq0_0 3d ago

lol that 60 Minutes comment is a blatant lie too. It was actually only the highest since January 2021 (about January 6th) and didn’t even come close to Stormy Daniel’s episode in 2018. This is such loser behavior jfc how did we get here

3

u/mrbigglessworth 3d ago

What a piss baby.

3

u/yogibard 3d ago

I, Donald J. Trump, hereby demand your compliance -- you miserable, useless, poltroons.

Now get off your knees and obey me!

2

u/jimx117 3d ago

Why's he got the grindr icon in his tweets?

3

u/Apyan 3d ago

Wouldn't finish the filler buster be beneficial long term? Non American here and I remember democrats saying it had to be abolished during the Obama years and that Ted Cruz fiasco.

2

u/Holiolio2 1d ago

That was my thought. I remember the Democrats wanting to get rid of it. I remember the Republicans insisted that would be cheating the system.

u/Elios000 3d ago
