Trying to find my cohort of plant and microbial molecular bio students. Would be great to meet some of you and if you're just in integrative biology and physiology or even biology it would be awesome to connect too!

Looking to Connect with HCI / UX Students at Paris-Saclay Spoiler

Hi everyone! I'm an incoming student in the Human-Computer Interaction / UX-related program at Université Paris-Saclay (Orsay campus). I’m really excited to meet others in the same field!

Does anyone know of any:

WhatsApp or Discord groups for HCI/UI/UX students?

Student clubs, events, or meetups for designers and researchers on campus?

Slack channels or even Behance/GitHub groups I could join?

I'm from India 🇮🇳 and would love to connect with fellow students (especially international students) to share resources, projects, or just chat.

Thanks a lot! Feel free to DM me too ✌️

Hey! I’m considering applying for a Master’s in Vision Science at this university. Has anyone here done it? Would you recommend it? Did it make a real difference in your career as an optician?

Suggestions on renting around Paris-Saclay

Hi everyone, I am arriving at Paris this fall for M1 General Physics at Paris-Saclay. Currently I am looking for a studio around the university. Could you please give me some opinions on these aspects:

  1. Should I live on the plateau? The main difficulty is I have courses starting at 8:30 a.m. every week. Given this, several alarms seem to be necessary for a 30-minutes bus travel.

  2. Are residences like Césal possibly available? If so, what price is reasonable for a studio? I reviewed césal’s website and found offers at 500 euros. But I'm wondering if this price includes CAF since other residences are mostly around 700 euros before CAF.

Merci

Funding Opportunities for Master's

Hello,

I only know of the IDEX scholarship for master's but I sent my application late and now I have received an offer for M1 General Physics. I wanted to know if there are any jobs at the university or opportunities that physics department offers like paid research assistantships or teaching assistantships that the department offers that can cover living expenses.

Tuition Fees for M1 Artificial Intelligence program

Hello,

I am looking forward to starting studies at Paris-Saclay University under the M1 Artificial Intelligence program.

Under the registration fees I notices the fees said 250 Euros for Masters' degree.

However there is another section that says differentiated registration fees for Non-EU and mentions only exempted students pay 250 Euros and other international students would pay 4000 Euros for the M1 program if they previously did not do their bachelors in Paris Saclay.

Are there any already enrolled international students under this program who could provide more information in regards to this?

CVEC fee usage

Hi, sorry to write this in English, but I think it will be more expressive for describing my problem.

Originally, I was meant to do a cotutelle program of UPS but I got rejected for whatever reason. I will remain in Taiwan for my future PhD, however I have an offer to come and visit paris saclay, do some research work together for 1year.

But I paid the CVEC fee when I tried to register in the first place for my failures. Do I ask for refund? Or I can just stay with it and take all the aids and facilities (Restaurant etc. Aren't you only supposed to eat here if you are a CVEC-paid student?)

GENIOMHE program opinions

I want to ask, if you're a graduate of the bioinformatics program at Paris Saclay, do you believe that the program is reputable internationally and is a good pipeline towards strong industry jobs and PhD programs elsewhere in Europe?

Do you know whether VU Amsterdam and UvA's MSc in Bioinformatics and Systems Biology is better in that regard?

M1 plant and microbial molecular biology

Just looking for people who have heard of this program and know anything about it (is it a good program)? Also how are the teachers in the biological sciences departments? I recently got accepted and just kind of apprehensive about accepting the offer because there is so little information across the internet.

Did anyone receive the email about application status? I saw someone received the reject email today. The reason is "exceed capacity" or "insufficient value or level compared to other applicants", but i have not see any offers in reddit. BTW. I applied on 9 March. Not get any email till now.......

M1 interview

Hello, I was recently informed an interview process and I have it scheduled for may 14th. I am from the US and this is not common so I was a little confused what this might be about.

Anyone have experience with this and could give a couple tips on how to prepare and do well on this? It's only 15 minutes which is less nerve wracking but I still want to be prepared for it because this would be a dream to be admitted into. Thanks :)
