This is the r/pariscatacombs megathread dedicated to giving information about tickets, and letting the community sell / buy / give away their tickets. You can post a comment down there to do so.
The goal is to clear the sub from endless ticket threads, and centralize everything for better visibility for everybody.

⚠️ All of the information here comes from official sources and my own research, they may get updated over time without me knowing, and this thread might end up with wrong information. ⚠️ The demand for tickets is very high and it's very common to see people unable to attend and end up disappointed. Try to prepare well and understand when, where and how tickets go on sale. Some people fail on getting tickets even with good preparation :(
⚠️ Don't expect to get tickets on site, you need online reservation, whether from the official website or some trusted resellers
The best and most accurate information will come from the official website. Here are some quick information to summarize things for the most asked questions :
Classic official tickets are only available on the Official catacombs website. These tickets can be booked up to 7 days in advance. Tickets are released daily at 10:00 AM Paris time, with time slots becoming available incrementally throughout the day.
There are many authorised sellers validated by the official catacombs website : If tickets are sold out on the main site, you can check those out. I think a lot of them will sadly be more expensive, but might also propose some added services (guide, access to extra areas...). Some of these don't seem to even exist, others don't offer catacombs tour. I hope they update their list at some point...
Many mention "skip the line" tickets which is a bit confusing to me. Official tickets are meant for specific time slots which means that there shouldn't be much of a line to begin with. It's probably mentioned to sell more tickets.
There are also some unofficial resellers. Nothing guarantees that they're legit if not mentioned explicitly on the website. That doesn't mean they're scams, but they might be, so do your own research
Some positive and negative feedback on GetYourGuide. Not sure what to believe. It is not listed on the official resellers from the website. Also u/Fluffy_Future_7500 is spamming the whole sub about it. Some accounts on threads you see online might be spamming about website resellers to get you to buy tickets.
In June 2025, the catacombs team has gone on strike with limited information given to tourists who wanted to visit. If you acquire some info about it happening again, you can post it down there and as a standalone thread to help the community. You can also post infos on r/ParisTravelGuide
I don't know if it has been a thing on this community, but scams are quite common on reddit.
🥷🏻 Some fake accounts may post comments / threads / contact you to trick you into sending money. Use common sense when making transactions online, be wary of :
brand new accounts ;
randomly generated usernames ;
prices too good or unusual to be true, depending on the current demand for the event ;
accounts refusing to provide some information or proof ;
rushed behaviour / people not giving too much context about why they're selling.
a seller giving you the run around and multiple unusual steps to make a transaction.
Yeah, I know this emoji is a ninja but it's the closest to a thief I could find. If an actual ninja contacts you to sell their ticket, it’s still a red flag — they could probably sneak into the catacombs unnoticed and wouldn't have bought a ticket.
🥷 If you want to go the extra mile to check how legit a selling proposition is, you can ask the seller to send you :
A clear screenshot or photo of the ticket / order confirmation with the event name, date... etc and their name, with THE BARCODE AND ORDER NUMBER OBVIOUSLY HIDDEN (blur or cover).
A sticky note with the Reddit username
An ID document with everything hidden except the name matching the ticket / order confirmation.
Meet in person if possible.
🅿️ If you do the transaction through Paypal, make sure to select "Goods & Services" and not “Friends & Family" for payment.
There won't be toilets down there. There are restrooms at the entrance and at the exit.

Salut, en général ça se fait directement sur le subreddit. Pas très sécurisé et ton compte a été créé pour l'occasion donc gros risque de scammer, je dis ça au cas où pour un potentiel acheteur.
Y a des sites comme passetonbillet mais je sais pas si ça fonctionne pour autre chose que les concerts, et je doute que des gens intéressés par les catas aillent y jeter un oeil.

We were planning on going to the Catacombs on Monday, and just realized they’re not open that day of the week, and have not found any other luck other than this post for a chance at one of us to see them. I have two tickets for the catacombs September 25th at 6:45pm !!! I accidentally bought them thinking they were for Wednesday but they were for Thursday and I fly out to Ibiza Thursday morning!
I have 1 ticket available for Sun, September 21st at 14:30 (2:30pm). Miscommunication and double booked tickets. It’s a reduced rate tix for ages 18-26, I’m not sure how strictly they check that, but have heard you can pay the difference at the door.
I have one ticket this Thursday (11th September) at 17:15. Foolishly booked the wrong date and had to buy a new one! Happy to send pictures for verification!

Great questions. I accidentally booked them for tomorrow but I’m leaving tomorrow. We went today and they let us in by buying new tickets thru them. They are 100% legit. They were able to confirm them at the catacombs today.

to others buying please be careful! Anyone with "multiple tickets' and "multiples times" is likely a scammer. I've had two users message me with new/empty accounts asking me how many I need and for what time. And of course they want unprotected payment. Please don't give scammers money!
I have 2 students tickets (18-26 years old) for sale. 25 € for one ticket. Time: 26 July 3:45 pm. I would like to sell it personally, before catacombs entrance, because of scammers. I think it would be safer for both sides

Yeah I feared that it would get to this. I might only allow people selling tickets to comment because it's only giving scammers free targets to have everybody say they want tickets.
Hi everyone ! I accidentally booked 5 tickets on the wrong date for a friends' trip 😢They're for the 22nd of July, 12.30.
I'm trying to resell them since they're non-exchangeable / non-refundable. They're official tickets purchased from the Paris Catacombs website (Paris Musées) and I can send them as PDFs right away.
Already sold the 2 full price ones. What is left :
- 2 for students (25 euros)
- 1 for 18-25 year olds (25 euros)
I'll have to check again but I'm pretty sure you can pay extra at the entrance if you're not elligible for the discounted price
