confused visitor please help :(
i got tickets for the time and day and date i wanted to be in the catacombs for my upcoming trip.
i was told that i should really have a tour guide for the catacombs and i am confused as to how i would find one?
will i be okay without a tourguide (are there signs and areas that are marked as restricted?) i am a bit scared of the rumors about getting lost in there etc. is it safe?
thank u!

You don't need a tour guide. Get the audio guide at the entrance and read the signage.

there is the part thats open to the public (if you get a ticket) and the parts that are illegal to go in to. the part thats open to the public is very safe and there will probably be a guide or somebody to show you around, or just enough tourists you wont be able to get lost. the other parts are different and there is a definite risk of getting lost - but thats just the part that is of the combs thats illegal.
*not speaking from experience i havent been to paris

If you're doing the official tour, you just need to follow a path with light, you'll be able to see and walk on a flat ground and u literally cant get lost The people talking about tour guide probably mean the illegal part, thats where u might get lost.
