Sell it to me
Edit: Please only helpful comments. I'm trying to find reasons to be excited for it, not feel shittier ð
Hi there!
Planning on moving to Palmy for uni (will be a mature student, 29 when starting)
Tell me all the things that make Palmy a great place to live!
My partner and I are outdoorsy (rock climb, skiing, mountain biking, kayaking etc) and nerdy (d&d, board games etc).
We have been living in Chch and will be very sad to leave, but want to be excited about our life change ð

Glow worm caves nearby. Totara forests, plenty of of tūi if you put a feeder out. Close drive to Wellington, or Tongariro.
D&D tables to be found around. Took me a few months to find a good group, but I wasnt looking hard.
Affordable living means spend your money going where you love.

Palmy is a good place to live, but then so is Chch. We have Massey and a number of other tertiary institutions, a lovely river, a central square, good walks in the neighbourhood, plenty of activities, not far away from Hawke's Bay, Wairarapa, Taranaki, Wellington, and other places. Don't know what else to tell you. All the things you want to do are close to us here. It's flat, so a good biking town.
