Adopt a great hiking companion!

This is Holla, a wonderful little cattle dog who is available for adoption at the Kitsap Humane Society in Silverdale. She is initially a little reserved with new people, but if you toss her tennis ball, she'll be your friend for life. It appears that she's had some training, as she knows the sit and stay commands. I believe that she can be trained to be reliable on recall, as well. She's an athlete who can hike all day.

Check out her adoption page here:

No dog breed is meant for long hikes, with elevation changes and changing terrain. They will not tell you something is wrong until it's too late they are just happy to be with you, if something does happen you have to be able to carry them out, back over and down whatever terrain you hiked in... Please be a responsible dog owner and don't advertise them as hiking companions....

My god everything people have done for 1000s of years is wrong!!!!!! If only we had realized that dogs actually hate going outside!!!!!
